Gregg Diamond Bionic Boogie is one of the forerunners of the early disco generation to create the outline of the music of its time and what was to come. His arrangements and productions were a touch of musicians playing out the groove along with the orchestral strings and rhythmic percussion of the dance floor fantasy. “We Must Believe In Magic” is from the first project from 1977 and features on vocals Gwen Guthrie, Yolanda Mc Colclough and Zach Sanders. The track is one of the uplifting anthem-like pieces from Diamond and plays out with a great deal of heart and soul. Like most of Diamond’s work there is an alternating message in the track that works within its own. A great piece from a classic album and the master mind of Gregg Diamond.
I have taken the album version of “We Must Believe In Magic” and refocused on extending this wonderful message. The intro has more of a whirling sensation applied and a closing with a fade out is provided for a reoccurring chance.
