London Boys are a Dennis Fuller and Edem Ephraim – a German band started by producer Ralf René Maué in 1988. Their album “The Twelve Commandments of Dance” contained their big single “Requiem” which was set perfectly amongst a time period where haunting chorus brought light into this rolling love song. The production is based upon many of the street beat elements with sampled keywords and direct strikes make out the rhythm. It has always been one of my favorites from this duo and remains on that continues to haunt my musical heart.
I have taken the 12” version of “Requiem” and revamped a new version with an extended intro and a fading of the haunting chorus in this ReStructure Mix. A new percussion track is added to pieces of the crescendo here and some scattered pieces of the original synth bass are used throughout to add new break parts.
