Sylvester is a disco artist who changed the face of music forever with his non-stop enthusiasm to be his “out” and outrageous self. Many of his songs are now classics and only held in high esteem in their execution and infectious energy created by the man himself. “Call Me” is from his 1983 project with the same title - produced by Dennis Wadlington, Dwayne Sweet, James "Tip" Wirrick and Marty Blecman. The track is a revisit to the early 80’s fast moving dance genre with a fusion of light rock. The main show here is Sylvester’s vocal performance which makes the dance floor take notice of his ominous power to entertain. Again, one of his past endeavors becomes that “classic” we have known this man for.
I have taken the 12” version of “Call Me” and added a new dimension to this new ReStructure Mix. More of the fierce sequencer pieces are stripped down for new energy and adding a few new breaks and surprises to “drop a dime” on this one.
