ReStructure Mix Update (10/16/25): ”Take Your Pain Away” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Eurythmics
Eurythmics created a mood for the 80’s which had a lasting effect on dance floors around the world. Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart are a duo who worked successfully together spinning moody songs of heartbreak, jealousy, fear and anger. Although none of the layered emotions were unfavorable to hear or dance to. Their execution of each track gave each one a unique and alternative approach. “Take Your Pain Away” is from their 1986 project titled “Revenge” and gives a loving edge to one who would like to free someone from all of the uncaring aspects of life and the relationship. Annie once again moves the song with her vocal talents and makes more of the attention her own. This one moves fast and jittery with a nice blend of rock touches throughout the song.
I have taken the album version of “Take Your Pain Away” and dissected the bass sequencers to display them in a new way throughout this ReStructure Mix. A play with some of the chorus vocals are used to break the song into new parts.
