ReStructure Mix Update (10/27/25): ”Keep On Talking” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Carrie Laporte

Carrie Laporte is a disco artist who released her single “Keep On Talking” in 1980 and was produced and arranged by David Perry - who also gave us the disco group Salazar (“1,2,3”). This track is one of the last of the disco tracks of the era and also one of the first high-energy pieces of the early 80s. Built on a wonderful guitar riff and then builds into a solution to a romance which seems to be fading. Carrie has a familiar sound to her voice and always brought back that pure disco edge with this cooker. From start to finish this one takes several movements which create a nice variation for the chorus that builds into a nice crescendo. A great release for 1980 when it became difficult to find a nice disco track following 1979.

I have taken the 12” version of “Keep On Talking” and readministered the energy into a new ReStructure Mix. Using pieces of the mid and finale parts to reassemble this one into a new format. More of the energy is squeezed to the surface in a placement of those killer riffs.
