Gayle Adams is a funk/disco vocalist who emerged in 1980 on the New York disco label Prelude Records. Produced by Rodney Brown and Willie Lester who also gave us Sharon Redd’s “Can You Handle it” and Bobby Thurston. This brand of New York funk helped the 80’s to move into a new direction and also kept the hardcore underground club feel intact. “Love Fever” was released in 1982 and is a great outline of the Gayle Adams delivery that made her a big dance floor favorite.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Love Fever” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix with more of the groove and sharp edges which made this one a top pick. It still moves along with Gayle’s funky edge and brings out more of the beat and breaks in a new way.
