Donna Allen takes the 80’s by “funk force” in 1986 with her album “Perfect Timing” – produced by Lou Pace and injected with his beat master arrangements. “Satisfied” is one of the singles from the project which plays out like a sensual call to a lover where Allen plays it with a bit of dare and lots of promises. One of the funk moments of the 80’s when the arrival of a new voice and energy was obvious. This one beats into a nice groove and then plays out with Donna’s wonderful soulful performance.
I have taken the 12” vocal and dub version of “Satisfied” and replanted a heavy thumpin’ bass beat to give this ReStructure Mix a touch of that early am dance floor mystique. It takes on a whole new feel and gives the purpose a new edge.
