L’Affair is an electronic dance project in the Italo-disco vein – members are Karlheinz Trapp and Rolf Kohler. Their 1985 release “Secret Eyes” is one which marked a peak for the Italo-disco sound. During the early 80’s when this sound began its exploration of style and execution a solid production is achieved here in the high energy vein. “Secret Eyes” tells the story of a romance turned over and moves quite emotional as if the tears are set in stone. It is one of the big tracks for me during this period and a favorite riff echoes from it.
I have taken the 12” version of “Secret Eyes” and remerged the power of the song into a new ReStructure Mix. I have added a few percussion riffs and stripped some of the pieces of the original which emphasize the heartache for this new mix.
