The Immortals are an electronic disco project from Ian Guenther and Willi Morrison – the duo who brought us some of the most phenomenal dance projects including. THP Orchestra, The Grand Tour, The Duncan Sisters, Sticky Fingers and Skatt Brothers. This venture from the disco productions of the 70’s to the synth-pop of the 80’s was a curve ball for their game. “Warlord Part 2” is the B-side to their 1979 release is a sense of power in the direction to where dance music was headed. This fantasy tale of a “game of thrones” feel of players is an all most make shift for a theme for action as it plays out with a reality. It is one of their turns into a new area and genre of dance music and is successful as many underground disco fans are aware of this club record.
I have taken the 12” version of “Warlord Part 2” and have taken the fantasy into a new ReStructure Mix. The beats have been electrified and pulsed up for a new groove for this almost theatric sound and imaginative feel.
