The Jimmy Castor Bunch released their first album titled “It’s Just Begun” in 1972 and began a new funk edge which dominated the growth of the music from this period on. The wah-wah guitars which started the energy in funk as the emphasis in the title track which we are focused on here. It is a cult classic among many who have started with this inception of the groove or later who researched and discovered the magic of it. “It’s Just Begun” is a positive and uplifting number which tells the story of the start of a world of peace and prosperity. The sound of Jimmy Castor is written from start to finish in this number and makes it a monumental dance piece throughout time.
I have taken the album version of “It’s Just Begun” and the instrumental groove to recreate a new ReStructure Mix in homage to the Jimmy Castor sound. There is a beat driven intro with phasing to kick up the excitement and a fade that gives the positive message a ringing end.
