Village People are the essence of the disco era. The fantasy, the escape, the groove. Created and produced by Jacques Morali who brings to the period a whole new feel of artistry and stage appeal. The second album by Village People is perhaps the most memorable for the underground cult following as its title presents “Macho Man” – one of their greatest stamps to their own commodity. Included in this package is also a cover of Louis Prima’s “Just A Gigolo” which is fitting once again for the outline of the group and also another opportunity to discover Victor Willis’ fabulous lead vocal which are soulful and spastically disco!
I have taken the album version of “Just A Gigolo” and recreated a fantasy ReStructure Mix bringing home Louis Prima’s version to warm up spots of this new version. Also beats pump up the already movin'’ energy to a new place for a new break and fade.
