ReStructure Mix Update (8/18/21) “Unexpected Lovers” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Pseudonym

Pseudonym is a high energy dance project from British producer, Nigel Stock – who also brought us Astaire, Charade and Mirage. This focus is on the 1985 Lime song “Unexpected Lovers” and a mild cover of the classic written by Denis and Denyse Le Page. The track is presented in the Passion Records flavor with heavy rolling bass and a dedicated arrangement to the original with only a switch on lead where it becomes “her” story rather than “his”. The beauty of the composition where two strangers suddenly find themselves falling in love overnight is a hard one to resist for a club record.

I have taken the 12” version of Pseudonym’s “Unexpected Lovers” and recreated a new arena for this ReStructure Mix. Some reminders of the power of the 80’s group Lime are sprinkled throughout the remix and the bass loops are used again to outline the new direction.
