Albert One (Alberto Carpani) is an Italian disco artist whose projects were based on his emotional and powerful vocals. “Hopes and Dreams” is a single from 1987 which he produced and made one of the most touching of the love anthems from Italy. The rolling bass sequencers and exuberant keyboards make up the arrangement along with a delivery from Alberto which touches the soul. It is one of the finest pieces of dance music from Italy during the period and always worked for myself during those tea dances or after-hours dance marathons.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Hopes and Dreams” and worked on taking this Italo classic into the ReStructure Mix realm. A new drum beat and new percussion are added and of course new breaks to complete this.
