REISSUE: "This Side Of Midnight" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gregg Diamond's StarCruiser

REISSUE: "This Side Of Midnight" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gregg Diamond's StarCruiser Gregg Diamond's StarCruiser was Marlin Record's 1978 Bionic Boogie. Diamond created a disco-fied symphony of strings and funky guitars on this project. "This Side Of Midnight" was the first single to hit dance floors. It featured vocals headed by Diva Grey and Gordon Grody. The track was an instant hit with it's innovative use of keyboards, bass synthesizers and Diamond's magic. The LP contained several dance worthy tracks and even today looked at by disco audiophiles as flawless compositions. I have taken "This Side Of Midnight" and blended pieces all over into a new mix with new bass syn-drums and beat tracks. Is has always been a track I have deeply loved and recreating the scenario was a labor of love.

REISSUE: "Greyhound Bus" by Gregg Diamond's Hardware - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: "Greyhound Bus" by Gregg Diamond's Hardware - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Gregg Diamond produced some of disco's most prestigious music -- from projects by George McCrae, Gloria Gaynor and Andrea True Connection. Some of his best works were his studio productions by Bionic Boogie, Star Cruiser and Hardware. This cut recorded under Hardware is from the LP featuring the single, "Shinin'" which was the only track released as a 12" single. Being a big fan of Diamond's productions I found his creativity as a writer to be equally as interesting and "left field" - songs like "Greyhound Bus" were as playful with their words as they were musically. Hardware was more of a disco band style of sound so horns and his vocal ensemble were the focus here. Featuring Diva Gray, Gordon Grody and Jocelyn Brown on vocals as well as jazz musician, David Sanborn on saxophone. Taking the 1976 film, "The Big Bus" which was a spoof on 70's disaster films was an idea I got while thinking about the Gregg Diamond track. The film directed by James Frawley (credited with episodes of "That Girl", "Magnum P.I." and "The Muppet Movie" among many others) is an uproarious adventure with stars, Joseph Bologna, Stockard Channing, Ned Beatty, John Beck and Ruth Gordon. It is the first spoof on disasters which many mistake, "Airplane" as the forerunner. It was just as cleaver, but probably not as effective as "Airplane's success. It was the ultimate disaster film parody of a nuclear powered bus is going Non-stop from New York to Denver -- but not without a few problems. Featuring scenes from "The Big Bus" -- RENT THE DVD! REISSUE “Tiger Tiger (Feel Good For A While)” by Gregg Diamond’s Bionic Boogie – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE “Tiger Tiger (Feel Good For A While)” by Gregg Diamond’s Bionic Boogie – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Gregg Diamond’s Bionic Boogie is one of the 70s disco projects with sophistication and groove which brought three unique productions. Diamond’s work in 1975 with Andrea True Connection (“More, More, More”) brought a dance sound which pointed in the shift of disco music’s pop appeal. “Tiger Tiger” is the third album from 1979 and presented a tough edged disco with a slight touch of rock and his soulful ensembles. “Tiger Tiger (Feel Good For A While)” is the title track and moves like the dense and dark arrangement which Diamond may have created to move into the 80s. I have taken the 1982 fantasy-horror film “Cat People” starring Nastassja Kinski and Malcolm McDowell – this remake of the 1942 classic is a bit more in the erotic arena and fills the edge of the disco track well. The film was directed by Paul Schrader Featuring scenes from “Cat People” – RENT THE DVD! Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Produced by Ken Emmons

REISSUE: “Rushin’ Roulette” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gregg Diamond’s Bionic Boogie

REISSUE: “Rushin’ Roulette” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gregg Diamond’s Bionic Boogie Bionic Boogie is a studio ensemble created and produced by Gregg Diamond (Andrea True Connection, Star Cruiser, Hardware). Diamond’s disco extroirdiinaire is based on a soft-rock edge a sweet disco aura at times blended where you are lost in hidden messages and intricate grooves. “Rushin’ Roulette” is from his “Tiger, Tiger” project from 1979 where his focus was on a stripped away feel with more of an edge as the 80’s were bringing a more nu-wave and rock sound to dance floors. This was a genius move on Diamond’s sessions as he did a similar touch on his project titled Hardware. I have taken the album version of “Rushin’ Roulette” and focused more on the fabulous vocal riffs from Luther Vandross, Jocelyn Brown, Janet Wright and Lani Groves. An added cameo from John Lennon brings this underground sound into a more celebratory light.

REISSUE: "Star Cruiser" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gregg Diamond's Star Cruiser

REISSUE: "Star Cruiser" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gregg Diamond's Star Cruiser When TK Records hired Gregg Diamond to produce a Bionic Boogie for their label, Diamond did them the favor. This fantastic project came at a time when perfection rang among the disco music of the time. Gregg was responsible for Andrea True Connection, Bionic Boogie, Gloria Gaynor, George McCrae recordings and took his talents into the studio again with an array of talent. Much of music here remains intact with "Star Cruiser" being no exception. Horns, guitars, strings and funky vocals (Gordon Grody, Diva Gray, Jocelyn Brown and Zach Sanders). It's no wonder why Diamond is the underground choice for hard-core disco music before, during and after the boom! Dedicated to Alan for all of his support, kindness, energy and of course, for asking :)

REISSUE: "Ite Missa Est"- Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Martin Circus Martin Circus was a rock band formed in France in 1969 and are noted as being one of the first to use the French language in rock. Their progression into disco music became more evident in the mid and late 70's. Their LP titled "Disco Circus" released in 1979 contains 2 of of the most intense productions in French disco history. "Disco Circus" was a big part of the Paradise Garage movement and was remixed for the venue. "Ite Missa Est" is Latin and means something like "Go, the Mass is ended" - here in their musical piece they express a high energy feel with swooping keyboards and hard hitting percussion. The track is known for it's beauty and energy. I have ReStructured the piece using the elements in extreme loops and adding a few more parts of the original to express a deeper form. This mix is dedicated to Rick of Seattle, WA - for his dedication to keeping the beat alive in the more intense manner

REISSUE: "Sphinx Medley" by Sphinx - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: "Sphinx Medley" by Sphinx - Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera The king of the eurodisco sound in the 1970's is Alec R. Costandinos - his compositions and productions are the highest in standards and execution. His 1977 project "Sphinx" labeled as a studio group by the same name is a double movement featuring biblical charaters - I have removed the theme and used parts of the beautiful instrumentals with the powerful Ambrosian choruses to create "Sphinx Medley" - it is paired with the 1961 adventures film "Colossus Of Rhodes" the story of Athenian war hero Darios. Segements and images from the film present a worthy drama for the backdrop of this Disco Video Mix of revolt and war as well as some beautiful costumes, scenery and men! The film stars Rory Calhoun, Lea Massari, Georges Marchal, Conrado San Martín and Ángel Aranda - it was directed by Sergio Leone Featuring scenes from "Colossus Of Rhodes" - RENT THE DVD! REISSUE “Op Oop Op Oop" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Esther Phillips

REISSUE “Op Oop Op Oop" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Esther Phillips Little Esther (alias Esther Phillips) is the queen of blues and soul. Her move to disco music in the late 70s was a treat to dance floors and now music history. The 1979 LP "Here's Esther...Are You Ready" produced by Harvey Mason is a gem. The project contained a disco version of the standard "Our Day Will Come", a dance version of Elton John's "Philadelphia Freedom" and the disco-mover, "Op Oop Op Oop" - transforming the disco chant into a diva standard! I have taken the 12" version of this smokin' track and transformed it into a ReStructure movement with lots of loops and rearranging to make you wonder where your feet will move next. A great fun time was had by my mind and soul on this one. Special thanks and dedicated to Lindsay and Nick - you magic men! You make the music feel deeper and more exciting than ever!

REISSUE: “Woman Ad-Lib” by L.A.X. – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: “Woman Ad-Lib” by L.A.X. – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera L.A.X. is a disco band produced by Jean Kluger and Ralph Benatar – the LP “Under Cover Lover” featured a track titled “Woman Ad-Lib” (which was released in France as “A Woman That’s Hot”. The song is a sexy tribute the the shapely beauty of femme and the rolling bass of disco in the late 70s. I have taken the track and paired it with the1956 film “The Girl Can’t Help It” starring Jayne Mansfield and Tom Ewll – using a few scenes of the dynamite and sexy lead star I am created an outline for the disco track. Quite a figure and outline – for any mix! The film was directed by Frank Tashlin This Disco Video Mix is dedicated to Loulou from The Netherlands Featuring scenes from “The Girl Can’t Help It” – RENT THE DVD! REISSUE: "Sorcerer" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Norma Jean

REISSUE: "Sorcerer" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Norma Jean Norma Jean is a familiar name and voice in disco history. Not only is her voice apart of the magic of the band Chic - she is also the singer who made the weekends exciting with her 1978 dance floor track, "Saturday", Her self titled album from 1978 contained this hit and her follow-up single, "Sorcerer". The production is the masterful sound of Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. The guitars and rhythm do not get any more serious than this. I have taken the 12" version of "Sorcerer" - which is one that I have 3 copies of from wearing out both on turntables and rewinding on cassettes - and re-worked it into a new ReStructure Mix - creating new beat lops with some of the guitar fame of Chic and working Norma's lyrics and theme deeper and deeper. A favorite and a great time to spend reworking this great track!

ReStructure Mix Update (6/27/20) “Who Do You Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – THP

ReStructure Mix Update (6/27/20) “Who Do You Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – THP

THP is producers Willi Morrison and Ian Guenther, writer Bruce Ley along with conducting by Pete Pederson. The session group began as a project in 1976 titled “Early Riser” featuring a disco version of the Theme from the television show “S.W.A.T.” – covered by Rhythm Heritage more successfully that same year. The second and third projects from THP (Three Hats Productions) were more notable with the disco-pulsed “Two Hot For Love” and the four piece 40’s big band infused “Tender Is The Night”. The finale project from THP is “Good To Me” from 1979 which is a disco-popish dance extravaganza in the live band fusion meets disco engineering. “Who Do You Love” is the last track on the album which features vocalist Joyce Cobb. A wonderful closing to numbers which all bears a recognizable feature and the bluesy and soulful vocal by Cobb. THP pours all they have into this project and for one of the last full-on disco orchestrations and arrangements make this a memorable listening and dance experience.

I have taken the album version of “Who Do You Love” and reworked the keyboards and funk-driven bass guitars into a new ReStructure Mix. I admire the original arrangements of all Three Hats Productions (THP) and only focused on creating a new blend of edits to give the music a new feel.

REISSUE: “Disco Stuff/If You Love Me” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Claire

REISSUE: “Disco Stuff/If You Love Me” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Claire Claire Chevalier (Claire Thérése Ferullo) is a French recording artist who brought the disco sound a wave of Euro sweetness. A true chanteuse where the melody becomes the identity of disco as one of its styles originated from the chic dance floors of Paris. Full of orchestration and the love which became the identity of European disco as Cerrone and Alec R. Costandinos penned. Claire’s 1978 single, “If You Love Me” was arranged by Jean Pierre Goussaud and produced by Thomas Nonton. The arrangement gave of segments of the “boogie breakdowns” titled “Disco Stuff”. A nice love song with a feel of that Salsoul Orchestra arrangement that became a disco staple of the time. “High On Love” was another single from Claire which I played for packed floors with the US release on Prelude Records. I have taken the 7” version of “Disco Stuff/If You Love Me” and worked the beautiful piece into a new ReStructure Mix. Keeping Claire’s wonderful notes alive with a touch more of the “Disco Stuff” segment and a new curve on the rhythm tracks. A predominant intro and fade are added to give the fantasy that disco music is so happy to allow. Dedicated to Claire Chevalier and her wonderful part played in disco music history. You are a gem, my dear.

REISSUE: "Just Us" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Two Tons O' Fun

REISSUE: "Just Us" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Two Tons O' Fun

Two Tons O’ Fun are Martha Wash and Izora Amstead – who are also The Weather Girls (“It’s Raining Men”) and a back-up extravaganza for many recording sessions including Sylvester, Paradise Express, Rebbie Jackson, Stacy Q as well as many Megatone disco tracks. Their first solo album titled “Two Tons O’ Fun” from 1980 contained the club hit, “I Got The Feeling” and “Earth Can Be Just Like Heaven” – two of the most incredible dance experiences. The single “Just Us” was also a pick for many DJs who preferred the mid-tempo sweetness and positive energy.

I have taken the 12” version of “Just Us” and reworked it in a new ReStructure Mix adding a few elements from George Kranz’s cult-dance classic “Din Daa Daa (Trommeltanz)” – the new version extended and re-loved!

This ReStructure Mix is lovingly dedicated to Ms. Lorna Warden who has been a wonderful light of love and care. Thank you, Lorna – you came at the right time. Life is magic

REISSUE: “Most Of All” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gloria Gaynor

REISSUE: “Most Of All” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gloria Gaynor Gloria Gaynor is the Queen of Discoland and made her mark in the mid and late 70’s with many albums and tracks which brought dancers into a kingdom of music and the groove. Her vocal presence is soulful and glamorous with the sparkle which made the 70’s a magical place. Along with disco producer Gregg Diamond who also presented us with classic disco tracks from his projects Bionic Boogie, Hardware, Starcruiser and Andrea True Connection another beautiful disco classic remains in the hall of fame: “Most Of All”. A swirling disco groove with a sound which Diamond created with early productions from Andrea True like “Fill Me Up (Heart To Heart)” which lay out a sweet funky edge with the sophisticated flavor of disco music. I have taken the 12” version of “Most Of All” and recreated a new ReStructure Mix to salute the sound of Gloria and Gregg Diamond together pacing the disco trend of the time into gold. This is one of those dedications to the eternal sound which made the 70’s come alive again with music.

REISSUE: "Je T 'Aime (Moi Non Plus)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

REISSUE: "Je T 'Aime (Moi Non Plus)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer Donna Summer made the disco scene complete during the mid-70s with the productions aimed at figment of disco musical fantasy called The First Lady of Love. Donna’s breakout hit “Love To Love You Baby” gave disco music the appropriate sound for a new life being discovered with a mood and style created by music. Her first three albums were perfection with this formula and iconic phase. One of the peaks of Donna’s fame was definitely the release of the film “Thank God It’s Friday” in 1978 – it also presented her as the disco diva serenading a frantic crowd to her soon-to-be classic “Last Dance”. The soundtrack featured a bonus 12” single with Donna’s cover of Serge Gainsbourg’s “Je T’ Aime (Moi Non Plus)” – a song written and sung with Brigitte Bardot – a cinema sex symbol. It was another venture into the sexy realm of disco’s take on the sound which made it most explosive. Donna’s version falls close to her sexy – but stylish appeal to make the night seem more intense and desire closer. I have taken the 12” version which times at 15:51 and created a new ReStructure Mix working in a new funk-drum beat and some rhythm effects to spice up the sexy play on a romantic affair between a couple expressing their love for one another. This new version incorporates some familiar pieces from Donna’s legacy and is intended to bring a new light to this somewhat controversial song.

REISSUE: “You Know How To Love Me” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Phyllis Hyman

REISSUE: “You Know How To Love Me” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Phyllis Hyman Phyllis Hyman is one of the most unforgettable voices of the 70s. Her solo recording debut in 1977 marked the start of many variations of soul, jazz, disco and rhythm and blues which haunt minds and hearts. “You Know How To Love Me” is Phyllis’ 1979 album produced by James Mtume and Reggie Lucas – who just finished launching a new disco career for Stephanie Mills (“What Cha Gonna Do With My Lovin’”). The album is one of the most beautiful of the time period and features the title track which is a dance classic. I have taken the album version of “You Know How To Love Me” and worked a new ReStructure Mix to mark the excitement of the track and stripping down some of the basic rhythms. It is more of a tribute and an alternative way of hearing Phyllis express the undying love and dedication which many of us have felt from the start.

REISSUE: "A Little Lovin' (Keeps The Doctor Away)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Raes

REISSUE: "A Little Lovin' (Keeps The Doctor Away)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Raes Freddie Perren (Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive", David Naughton's "Makin' It", Peaches & Herb's "Shake Your Groove Thing", and many more) was a producer extraordinaire when it came to disco. He created an era of dance music that has outlined the sound throughout the period and lasts even today. Taking singing duo, Robbie and Cherrill Rae into the disco spotlight was an exciting time. "A Little Lovin' (Keeps The Doctor Away)" was a pop-fusion of disco but worked well with assistance from John Luongo who, at the time provided the club mixes for the LP. Great percussion and bass lines are brought to the surface in this remix. And along with the bright vocals of our stars it helped make a lasting impression. This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Mr. Perren who left us December of 2004. His music lives on with fantastic energy!

REISSUE: "Don't You Feel My Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - George McCrae

REISSUE: "Don't You Feel My Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - George McCrae George McCrae brought the Miami disco sound alive in 1974 with his big hit, "Rock Your Baby". His music has always reflected a progressive style of disco music remaining in the underground club genre. His 1979 single "Don't You Feel My Love" is another big club dance track which uses the Afro-Cuban percussion like a cannon - blasting the beat and rhythm with energy. I have taken the 12" version on Sunshine Sound Disco Records and have given it a new ReStructure Mix to give the song a new stage and added a few new light touches to give it a new arrangement and opportunity to funk-you!

REISSUE: "Physical" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Olivia Newton-John

REISSUE: "Physical" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Olivia Newton-John Olivia Newton-John is an English-Australian singer and began recording in 1971 and throughout present she remains active in music. Her voice was the sound of 70s pop ballads and a glamour celebrity whom always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Her 1981 album "Physical" is her 80s homage with the title track which is the pop-dance record that was silly and a bit teasing - but always remained one of the fun aspects of Olivia's repertoire. The project was produced by John Farrar. This ReStructure Mix takes the album version and brings the simple radio arrangement to a more hardcore feel. I have added a lot of new breaks and vocal-play to make this workout even more fun!

REISSUE: "Love Disco Style" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Erotic Drum Band

REISSUE: "Love Disco Style" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Erotic Drum Band Erotic Drum Band was one of the earliest Canadian disco bands to become apart of the finale stage of 70’s disco formulation. With Peter Di Milo, George Cucuzzella and Joe la Greca as producers and band arrangers this is a landmark of disco achievements. The tracks were based on early keyboard and synthesizer movements over drum rhythms and percussion fills became and instant hot on dance floors ready for a new energy movement. In 1978 this was the beginning of the high-energy sound, which would take over in the early 80’s. I have taken portions of “Love Disco Style” and applied a new pounding drum and bass track beneath the fast moving tempo and also applied a few drum fills within the vocal tracks. Dedicated to the die-hard disco fans!

REISSUE: “I Will Survive” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gloria Gaynor

REISSUE: “I Will Survive” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gloria Gaynor Gloria Gaynor’s 1978 album “Love Tracks” brought the anthem of power and self-love to life with “I Will Survive” – produced by Dino Fekaris. The classic is among the top10 and continues to bring new light of hope even today. As the B-side to the 12” “Substitute” this one had the power to not only reverse the labeling element but also mend broken hearts and strengthen the disco movement of the late 70s. I have taken the 12” of “I Will Survive” and reworked a ReStructure Mix which focuses a bit more on breakdowns of the ‘glorious’ take told here. A more rhythmic appeal and approach to the original and yet leaving none of the classical elements apart. A tough act to amend yet allot of fun!

ReStructure Mix Update (6/25/20) “Nasty Disposition” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Aurra

ReStructure Mix Update (6/25/20) “Nasty Disposition” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Aurra

Aurra is one of the early 80’s funk bands which consisted of members of the band titled Slave. This session band began its recording career in 1980 with lead vocals from Starlena Young whose voice is most recognizable in the Slave track “Just A Touch Of Love” from 1979. “Nasty Disposition” is from their 1981 album titled “Send Your Love” produced by Steve Washington which gives the funk and disco arrangement its proper blend. The crossover between the disco era of the late 70’s and the funk edge injected to save dance music is a big part of this period. Many productions using the dance formula were lowering BPM’s and giving more resonance to the 80’s new funk sound and its disco influence.

I have taken the 12” version of Aurra’s “Nasty Disposition” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix with some segments added to create some different effects. A new percussion track is added and used throughout to give this track a new edge.

REISSUE: "World Wide Party" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Max Berlin
Max Berlin's "World Wide Party" is one of the disco trax from 1979 which played out like a dance floor anthem. Giving plenty of of the drawn out disco mix which dancers clamored for. Accentuating the disco beat with drums, percussion and synths - driving feet from one side of the dance floor to the other. Jean Pierre Cerrone is noted to be brother of Jean Marc Cerrone ("Supernature", "Love in 'C' Minor", etc.) and also is known for his first project titled, "Disco Dream". I have taken the US LP release on Emergency Records - using both sides of the medley's - chopping and trimming down some of the groovin' segments with some new breaks and arrangement. This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Deejay Chris of Facebook - and thanks for his request and part in keeping disco music here for life's party!

REISSUE: "Hollywood" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Freddie James

REISSUE: "Hollywood" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Freddie James Tony Green (France Joli, UN, Kebekelektrik, Carolyne Bernier, Monica Thornton, Cindy Valentine) produced Freddie James in 1979. "Get Up And Boogie" was the first release from this project. The impact of Green's high end disco production gave James instant appeal. "Hollywood" began rotation in clubs soon after and took off as a dance floor favorite. The uplifting sound of these tracks created a celebratory atmospehere. Being the son of disco performer, Geraldine Hunt ("Can't Fake The Feeling") gave James the break he needed and as a young talent. I let myself go wild in this ReStructure Mix and hoped to give the promise of excitement to the theme of the song. Dedicated to Peter Godbold - Happy Birthday, Peter - you are loved deeply.

REISSUE:“Go Dance" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Billy Moore

REISSUE:“Go Dance" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Billy Moore Billy Moore's "Go Dance" saved dance floors with a wonderful execution of both synthesizers, disco beat and funky vocals. The track was a big surprise from Italy in 1979 at the end of the disco boom. "Go Dance" was produced by G. Farnetti and Matteo Bonsanto (Kano, Dharma, Sphinx - the Italian electronic band, not associated with the Alec R. Costandinos group, Sabrina) and had enough electronic magic to move any dance floor. It remains a fun and uplifting track. I have moved the song with an easier intro to get right into the mood and also many more breakdowns and surprises. Dedicated to Rick and Dean in Australia for keeping me on my toes with the "best disco in town'! Thank you boys!

REISSUE: "Rock It To The Top" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Mantus

REISSUE: "Rock It To The Top" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Mantus
Mantus is a hardcore disco band from 1979 - their first monster project "Midnight Energy" contained their big debut single "(Dance It) Freestyle Rhythm" and "Rock It To The Top" - along with two stomping disco tracks which also received clkub play. This was the disco sound in complete form as if they were the rock-n-roll of disco. I have taken the album version of "Rock It To The Top" along with a few pieces from the 12" remix and created a ReStructure Mix to once again "rock you body"! A hot piece of dance music and a reason to pull the furniture out of the way. Mantus is Billy Amendola, Frank DeCrescenzo, Jimmy Maer and Kenny Bee

REISSUE: “His Name Is Charlie” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Laser

REISSUE: “His Name Is Charlie” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Laser Laser is a disco concept album from producer Wolfgang Hermes (Fox & Promes) with an electronic dance direction. The early 80s were soon to become the synth-pop era once this sound was exposed to dance floors with the expression and creative possibilities. “His Name Is Charly” is a spoof on a situation in a make believe western where a fugitive named ‘Charly’ is on the run to Mexico – obviously to escape the law. The light synthesized keyboard riffs help to play out this rolling dance track in an effective and mysterious manner. It was released on Moby Dick Records in the US during the early 80s as proof that disco was quickly becoming high energy soon. I have taken the 12” on Moby Dick Records and the original album version to weave this ReStructure Mix into a whole new drama. Using more of the rolling sequencers to outline the pulse of the song. More Charly is added to outline the title and of course play out this play.

REISSUE: "Too Tough" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Angela Bofill

REISSUE: "Too Tough" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Angela Bofill Angela Bofill released her first LP in 1978 - making a mark in jazz music with producer composer Dave Grusin. Her third LP "Too Tough" had one of 1983s funkiest electronic dance tracks of the time. It was moving Angela's vocals into a whole new arena. Clubs immediately grew found of the kicking back beats and memorable rap. I have taken the 12" vocal onto the ReStructure block by request of "chikostar" from YouTube and created a whole new message - adding new beats, claps and rap. It has always been a favorite of mine and now has an alternative mix.

REISSUE: "Restless” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Starpoint

REISSUE: "Restless” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Starpoint Starpoint is a funk and r & b group founded in 1978 and recording through the early 90s. The brand of electronic dance funk is remedied by bands like Starpoint in the 80s and its shift to a soulful and pop diverse demand. Their 1985 release “Restless” is a slick love song which plays out like the lasting romance of the bands energy and excitement. Lead vocals by Renee Diggs are top form here and reach the success that they deserve backing up this band. I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental version to recreate a ReStructure Mix with the electro funk pumping in new segmentations. This version plays out in a lengthier mix and more play with the theme of sleepless nights wondering what the next move for romance shall be. This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Michael Cigich – thank you for requesting this great number and more thanks for always being a wonderful friend.

REISSUE: "Love Injection" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Trussel

REISSUE: "Love Injection" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Trussel A big funk dance track from 1979, which is now considered one of the top disco songs of all time. "Love Injection" comes from Trussel - a band whose talents and energy were to catapult them to fame. Unfortunately, their label did not take advantage of the promise. Trussel consisted of Bill McGee, Ron Smith, Larry Tynes, Michael Gray, Herman Maclin, Hannon Lane, Lynwood Jones, Michael Spratley, Veronica Jones, Junius Dyson - we have much of their work to cement their talent and groove. I have taken "Love Injection" and broken it up into parts and added some new rhythm tracks as well as constructed a few new breaks from original elements. This ReStructure Mix dedicated to Paul from The Netherlands

REISSUE: "Magic Of You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Cameron

REISSUE: "Magic Of You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Cameron Cameron is a soul/disco singer who was signed to Salsoul Records in 1980 Brass Construction's Randy Muller - he also performed with Muller's group Funk Deluxe in the early-80s. "Magic Of You" is from the Cameron self-titled LP from 1980 and is the sound of Salsoul-funk ala Skyy - which Muller also produced. It is a lovely track with a nice flowing love note with electro-funk guiding it. Backing vocals are provided by the female part of Skyy. I have taken the LP version of "Magic Of You" and extended the into from a pounding phase level-in and then played with some of my favorite parts of the mix. It is intended to give the song another opportunity to make it's way into new "spinning" minds.

REISSUE: "Too Tight" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Con Funk Shun

REISSUE: "Too Tight" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Con Funk Shun Con Funk Shun was created by Louis A. McCall and Michael V. Cooper - a popular R&B and funk ensemble whose #1 Billboard hit "Ffun" is now an old school classic. Their 1980 LP "Touch" contained the big dance single "Too Tight" that brought the funk back to many dance floors in the early 80's - this one followed their big hit from the same year, "Got To Be Enough". I have ReStructured the track to give it a longer arrangement and bring out that beautiful keyboard break with the lovely string section - and also enhance on the tracks already funky style with a new electro-vibe layer. Dedicated to the band - Con Funk Shun - let them "con-funk-shunize ya!"
