ReStructure Mix Update (6/16/20) “Righteous Rhythm” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Rose Royce

Rose Royce is a band formulated by legendary producer Norman Whitfield for the soundtrack of the motion picture “Car Wash”. The band existed prior to the soundtrack as Total Concept Unlimited and then during the soundtrack work a new member – the only female member, Ms. Gwen Dickey became the completion of Rose Royce. The instrumental pieces of Whitfield’s control of the sessions are truly the cross between soul and funk of the mid-70s and also a lead into the disco realm of music bigger than a radio box exploding in variations.

I have taken the album version of “Righteous Rhythm” and re-funked a ReStructure Mix to play tribute to both Rose Royce and Mr. Norman Whitfield. This one focuses on Whitefield’s psychedelic merge into funk music and gives way to several new breaks and stages for this dynamite track.
