REISSUE: “Disco Stuff/If You Love Me” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Claire

REISSUE: “Disco Stuff/If You Love Me” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Claire Claire Chevalier (Claire Thérése Ferullo) is a French recording artist who brought the disco sound a wave of Euro sweetness. A true chanteuse where the melody becomes the identity of disco as one of its styles originated from the chic dance floors of Paris. Full of orchestration and the love which became the identity of European disco as Cerrone and Alec R. Costandinos penned. Claire’s 1978 single, “If You Love Me” was arranged by Jean Pierre Goussaud and produced by Thomas Nonton. The arrangement gave of segments of the “boogie breakdowns” titled “Disco Stuff”. A nice love song with a feel of that Salsoul Orchestra arrangement that became a disco staple of the time. “High On Love” was another single from Claire which I played for packed floors with the US release on Prelude Records. I have taken the 7” version of “Disco Stuff/If You Love Me” and worked the beautiful piece into a new ReStructure Mix. Keeping Claire’s wonderful notes alive with a touch more of the “Disco Stuff” segment and a new curve on the rhythm tracks. A predominant intro and fade are added to give the fantasy that disco music is so happy to allow. Dedicated to Claire Chevalier and her wonderful part played in disco music history. You are a gem, my dear.
