"(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - L.T.D.

"(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - L.T.D.

L.T.D. originally consisted of backing musicians from Sam & Dave and were signed to A&M Records in 1968. Jeffrey Osborne's vocals gave the group a memorable flavor - and with their 1977 hit "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again" a place in the disco hall of fame. The song has echoed many nights on crowded dance floors with it's funky guitars and blaring horns.

I have taken the single into a new ReStructure Mix using all of the powerful pieces that make this one an all-time winner. It is one of soul music's earlier distinctions between disco and it's own style.

"Walk The Night" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Skatt Bros.

"Walk The Night" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Skatt Bros.

Skatt Bros. are Sean Delaney, Pieter Sweval, Richard Martin-Ross, David Andez, Richie Fontana, Craig Krampf and Danny Brant - their project "Strange Spirits" was produced by disco producers, Ian Guenther and Willi Morrison of THP, Southern Exposure, Sticky Fingers and Duncan Sisters fame.

The project was to present the Canadian band as the alternative Village People group - thanks to Guenther and Morrison the project had a flavor close to the infectious sound of disco with a rock edge. "Walk The Night" is an underground favorite among disco audiophiles. It has a dark feel with some sado masochistic overtones of heavy "night-cruising".

I have taken the track into a darker electronic feel and given it a slight arrangement adjustment - lots of new curves to explore here.

Thanks to "djmarka" from Multiply for suggesting the ReStructure Mix - it was in the queue for some time and finally worked it's way out.

"Keep Smilin'" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Carrie Lucas

"Keep Smilin'" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Carrie Lucas

Carrie Lucas began recording on her husband, the late Dick Griffey's label Soul Train Recording Co. in 1976 - there a big dance movement being formulated at this time to become the disco era.

"Keep Smilin'" is one of Carrie's big dance floor classics and is truly an anthem with all of the elements to stand the test of time. As Carrie sings about staying "hurt-free" there are pounding drums and sequencers keeping her heart from breaking - it is the 70's "It's My Party" track.

I have taken the track and given it a new dub feel with lots of looping and phasing to create that disco fantasy that so many of us were lost about in the 70's.

I dedicate this ReStrucure Mix to the late Mr. Dick Griffey - in thanks for all of the wonderful artists and music he has brought to disco/soul history.

"I Just Can't Help Believing" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Boys Town Gang

"I Just Can't Help Believing" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Boys Town Gang

Boys Town Gang brings to light a pop-rock song titled "I Just Cant Help Believing" - recorded by B.J. Thomas in 1970. The tune was also covered by Elvis Presley.

Bill Motley once again gives the disco production with a full orchestration and band feel with the 1983 project "A Cast Of Thousands". This being one of the most reflective disco periods and sounds in dance history. Vocals are provided here by Jackson Moore who covered additional songs from the project as well as her solo career in the 80's.

I have given the powerhouse love song a new extended ReStructure Mix with a few new elements here and there - focusing on a new intro and fade out.

"X-Factor" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Patrick Cowley

"X-Factor" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Patrick Cowley

Patrick Cowley's "Menergy" project is one of the memorable moments in disco history during the re-surge of power and production. I have taken the track "X-Factor" and given it a new face-lift in the ReStructure style.

The song is based on synthesizer loops and guitar elements - I have reorganized the entire eel to give a whole new meaning to the recording.

"Sweet Dynamite" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Claudja Barry

"Sweet Dynamite" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Claudja Barry

Disco diva extraordinaire Ms. Claudja Barry was a burst of energy during the mid-70's. Her stature and charisma in disco music are one of the factors that make the style lasting and memorable.

"Sweet Dynamite" is from her 1976 LP by the same name and is one of the classics of the Salsoul label. The project was mixed by Mr. Tom Moulton and displays the early declaration of a pure disco production.

I have taken the track into the ReStructure realm focusing on the beats and bass lines - and having a little play with the funky guitars and a few riffs. It is one of the most definitive disco tracks.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to my wonderful partner, Ken - it is one of his favorite disco tracks.

"Armed And Extremely Dangerous" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - First Choice

"Armed And Extremely Dangerous" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - First Choice

First Choice was a breakthrough for the Sound of Philadelphia in 1973 with the LP "Armed and Extremely Dangerous" - produced by Stan Watson and arranged by Vincent Montana. It was the birth of a sound that would haunt the 70's disco era.

"Armed and Extremely Dangerous" is a classic not only for being a leader in music trend but also it's infectious melody and theme. First Choice consisted of Rochelle Fleming, Joyce Jones and Annette Guest - and were originally known as The Debonettes.

I have ReStructured the tune by a adding a whole new base to the intro and a few new effects and loops. It was not an easy task to break the song apart since the original is flawless - this mix only provides a new feel for admirers.

Dedicated to Danny B. of San Diego (formerly of #1 Fifth Avenue)

"Autumn Changes" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

"Autumn Changes" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

"Four Seasons Of Love" is Donna Summer's third US album release from 1976 - closely following the formula of Giorgio Moroder's disco arrangements along with Donna's sexy and versatile range. This project in my opinion remains as one of disco's finest productions and results.

I have taken "Autumn Changes" from the theme and created a whole new edge to the track giving it a few new elements to give it new life. The track is one of the the variable styles from Moroder/Bellotte and Summer with a nice disco flair added.
