"Hazy Shades of Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Amant

"Hazy Shades of Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Amant

Amant is a disco band from Ray Martinez - a man who is a dance music icon dedicated to the sound of disco music and the loving and admiring mood it creates. Ray worked with some of Miami's forerunners prior to disco making it's mark in the late 70s - offering his own style as the shaping tool of it's sound and popularity.

"Hazy Shades Of Love" is the second single and side to the 1978 project "Amant" released on Henry Stone's Marlin Records and as single on T.K. Disco. This has and always be one of my favorite songs. There are layers and layers of elements from grooves to percussion riffs which are what made disco music exciting and adventurous of the time.

I have taken the full album version and gave it a ReStructure Mix working in my own new and existing elements to layer in a new chapter for this fabulous song. My prime motivation is to pay homage to one the disco greats, Mr. Ray Martinez and Amant.

"Bayou Village" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Voyage

"Bayou Village" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Voyage

Voyage is a disco band from France produced by Roger Tokarz featuring Marc Chantereau, Pierre-Alain Dahan, Sauveur Mallia, Slim Pezin and Sylvia Mason-James. Their first self-titled album began a disco odyssey around the world featuring a departure theme and various instrumental and vocal tracks representing each location. the project caught on well on dance floors during 1978 and brought a second LP with a continuation of he journey.

"Bayou Village" is the spot for a visit back to old Mississippi River land and on the river where the rhythm is set to a hill billie jam session. Complete with violins and washboards. The cut was featured on the side-B of this trip and was always a fun track to bring in that square-dance moment during a fun period of disco music.

This ReStructure Mix extends the celebratory piece of music and gives me a chance to mix-up a silly number - featuring a favorite show of mine from the 60s and it's theme. I am sure Oliver and Lisa would approve!

"Climb/Rushin' To Meet You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Midnight Rhythm

"Climb/Rushin' To Meet You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Midnight Rhythm

Midnight Rhythm is a disco project from Joe Long and Robby Adcock - who always gave us Hallelujah 2000, C.M. Lord, Liquid Gold, Joe Long Sound. This production is a complete orchestrated and arranged dance sensation which took dance floors to a place called "disco heaven". A sound where a crescendo builds and builds to a satisfying climax.

"Climb/Rushin' To Meet You" is from the self-titled album and is contained there as a 15 minute suite. It is one of the most extensive pieces of disco music and remains a classic. Vocals include both Joe and Robby as well as Hodges James and Smith.

I have taken the full album version and ReStructured the pieces into a new version. Dedicated to Mr. Ramon A. Sandoval - for sharing in insight and talent with myself and the world - his note is to thank Marsha Stern as production assistant on this recording as well as Patricia Hodges for her vocals and DJ Bobby Viteritti for the support.

Get to movin'!

"He's So Shy" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pointer Sisters

"He's So Shy" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pointer Sisters

Pointer Sisters made the 80s a fun place to dance in with their big hits, "Jump", "Could I Be Dreaming", "We Got The Power", "I'm So Excited", "Automatic", "Baby, Come and Get It", and "Neutron Dance". Whew! Thank is allot of music which powered dance floors and dance attitudes.

Their album "Special Things" from 1980 had a radio hit - which played out in the Pointer Sisters tradition and sound - "He's So Shy". However, the album version was the only track available so unless you ran across a club with a dedicated and skillful disc jockey, you may not have been able to dance to it.

I have taken the 3:37 minute album version and have given it a ReStructure Mix with a new drum track to pound the heck out of that keyboard track. It is a lengthier and more dub-like - the genre I always love getting lost on the dance floor to!

"Heartbreak In Disguise" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pattie Brooks

"Heartbreak In Disguise" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pattie Brooks

Pattie Brooks is known for her onstage performance with lovely fans - I know her as one of the disco divas whom introduced the lush-sweet sound of disco anthems. "After Dark", "This Is The House Where Love Died", "Girl, Don't Make Me Wait" and "Party Girl" are the magic of disco which created the fantasy world that made dancers feel free.

Pattie's second album produced by Simon Soussan contained the sound which made disco mature and chic for the time period. Lots of percussion, strings and lovely songs about 'heartbreak' and 'love'. It was quite a moment in disco history.

I have taken the 12" remix of "Heartbreak In Disguise" (mixed by Bob Stone and Manny Slali) and have given it a new ReStructure Mix. Using most of the lush-strings and piano tracks I wanted to make this one not only lengthier, but also remind us of just how fabulous disco music was as it captivated hearts and feet!

Dedicated to Ms. Pattie Brooks - the lady of true disco feeling!

"Don't You Feel My Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - George McCrae

"Don't You Feel My Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - George McCrae

George McCrae brought the Miami disco sound alive in 1974 with his big hit, "Rock Your Baby". His music has always reflected a progressive style of disco music remaining in the underground club genre.

His 1979 single "Don't You Feel My Love" is another big club dance track which uses the Afro-Cuban percussion like a cannon - blasting the beat and rhythm with energy.

I have taken the 12" version on Sunshine Sound Disco Records and have given it a new ReStructure Mix to give the song a new stage and added a few new light touches to give it a new arrangement and opportunity to funk-you!

"Inside You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Isley Brothers

"Inside You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Isley Brothers

The Isley Brothers are Chris Jasper, Ernie Isley, Marvin Isley, O'Kelly Isley, Ronald Isley and Rudolph Isley - the group has been recording since 1959 - their big classic "Shout" among the most memorable. The group lasted throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s.

"Inside You" is a single from their album by the same name from 1981and is one of the most endearing dance singles of that year - and one of my favorites. The fabulous vocal is a yearning and love which I always was brought to tears or a hypnotic trance. Always reminded me of the best of a Marvin Gaye feel.

I have taken the 12" and have given it a ReStructure Mix - making it even dreamier than ever with those echo-driven guitars and swooning vocals. Some new production to bring it out a bit more into the dub arena. Ahhh!

"I Don't Wanna Lose You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Lime

"I Don't Wanna Lose You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Lime

Lime is Denis and Denise Lepage - a duo who took dance floors in the early and mid 80s to a new extreme. High energy is the sound which took over the disco legacy and made dancers find more moves between beats than ever.

"I Don't Wanna Lose You" is from their 1984 album "Sensual Sensation" and is one of the project from Lime which is progressive in the state of electronic dance music and a new group of songs which play out in their style once again, very well.

I have taken the album version of "I Don't Wanna Lose You" and have given it a new ReStructure Mix - playing on the synth loops and kick drums. Also, adding a few new words from a couple of dance classics.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Gillian C. from Facebook - thank you Gillian for always being so uplifting!

"Boogie Boo" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Bionic Boogie

"Boogie Boo" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Bionic Boogie

Bionic Boogie is a disco group from Gregg Diamond who at the time was better know for his production of Andrea True Connection's classic "More More More". The band is one of the most respected as cutting-edge disco/funk and soul. Thanks to the participating talents of Cissy Houston, Gwen Guthrie, Luther Vandross on vocals - Brad Baker arranging and Jimmy Maelen on percussion.

I have taken the track "Boogie Boo" from this project and stretched out that "funky-ass" guitar into full fledged disco-funk piece. Adding a few samples of one of Diamond's later tracks from Starcuiser and a special guest who makes the boogie go "boo"!

WATCH ON YOUTUBE

The classic disco track, "Queen Of Fools" by Jessica Williams from 1979 -- produced by Simon Soussan (Arpeggio, French Kiss, Pattie Brooks, Charisma) is now a video. I have wanted to add Jessica's fabulous anthem to my list of Disco Video Mixes. With the help of Jessica and her wonderful husband, John B. Williams the video is live.

Special thanks to incredible partner and "love of my life" Mr. Ken Emmons for all of his help with the production and his insight on the flow of the edit. I had a great time shooting the footage with Jessica -- thanks to Herman and Jordan for their patience and John for his cameo.

"I Love My Radio" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Taffy

"I Love My Radio" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Taffy

Taffy is Katherine Quaye and producers Claudio Cecchetto (Sandy Marton, Tracy Spencer, Sabrina) - both created an Italo-disco classic from 1985 which took clubs by storm and had dancers bouncy joyfully. It is one of the well-known dance tracks from the mid-80s and even today brings back wonderful memories to many - as the lyrics suggest!

I have taken the 12" version from Flarenasch Records (Italy) and have given it a new ReStructure Mix to give praise to one of the happiest and wonderful moods of disco music. I have added a few surprises and new breakdowns to enhance the experience!

Whoa-whoa-whoa" - dance on!

"Theme from Disco '77" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sassy

"Theme from Disco '77" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sassy

Sassy is a disco group produced by Mr. Ray Martinez - who also brought us Amant, Passion, Ray Martinez and Friends, a few productions by Foxy, George McCrae, Celi Bee, Seven Seas and the disco label Paris International which featured artists Evelyn Thomas and Jill.

Ray's track "Theme from Disco '77" was the theme from the disco-dance television show which featured many popular and upcoming disco artists. This track is one of my all-time favorites and one big hit for me during my mobile disc jockey years.

I have taken the 12" single from TK Disco and have given it a ReStructure Mix - for a revisit to the days when dancing was made for couples and disco music was for falling in love. It has the classic Ray Martinez stamp which for me always excited and had me swaying.

Dedicated to "the man" himself - Mr. Ray Martinez. Thank you, Ray - over and over your music brings so much joy and love to many. This is for you!

“I Rock and Roll (Part One)” by Kryptonite – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

“I Rock and Roll (Part One)” by Kryptonite – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Kryptonite is a disco group from the early 80s created by Joe La Greca and John McDiamoid. The Canadian trio released four 12” singles which detailed the sound of changing disco music from the late 70s to the 80s high energy scenes.

I have taken their disco cover of Gary Glitter’s “I Rock and Roll” and blended it with scenes and images from the 1975 film by Ken Russell, “Tommy” – starring Roger Daltrey, Ann Margret and Oliver Reed. The film is based on The Who’s rock opera by the same name – the story of a psychosomatically deaf, dumb and blind boy becomes a master pinball player and the object of a religious cult.

"Below The Belt" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Grace Jones

"Below The Belt" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Grace Jones

Grace Jones is the "avant-garde" diva of disco. Her years of performing, recording and giving to the clamouring audience throughout her continual re-creation of her style. Even today, her recent release proves that Grace does not have to do more than be Grace to win. Not many artists have that drive or acceptance.

"Below The Belt" comes from her 1978 album "Fame" - produced by the man who taught us how to dance to the beat, Mr. Tom Moulton. The track is similar to the drama and disco-opera which Grace entered the limelight. It was all about her attitude and poise.

I have ReStructured "Below The Belt" using the album version and enhancing it with a new intro break and "punch"! It is one of those songs which grows on you...on and on.

Special thanks to my cinema and disco friend, Paul C. from New York for requesting this Grace-anthem and also for being just who he is! This is for you, Paul!

"Rock It To The Top" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Mantus

"Rock It To The Top" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Mantus

Mantus is a hardcore disco band from 1979 - their first monster project "Midnight Energy" contained their big debut single "(Dance It) Freestyle Rhythm" and "Rock It To The Top" - along with two stomping disco tracks which also received clkub play. This was the disco sound in complete form as if they were the rock-n-roll of disco.

I have taken the album version of "Rock It To The Top" along with a few pieces from the 12" remix and created a ReStructure Mix to once again "rock you body"! A hot piece of dance music and a reason to pull the furniture out of the way.

Mantus is Billy Amendola, Frank DeCrescenzo, Jimmy Maer and Kenny Bee

"I'm Always Ready" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Ava Cherry

"I'm Always Ready" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Ava Cherry

Ava Cherry is a hot diva! Not only did her club hit, "Where There's Smoke There's Fire" start dance floors jumping all over again but it gave us a new voice to adore. In 1980 her LP "Ripe!" brought productions by Bobby Eli and Gil Askey on the right side of introducing continuing and hardcore disco fanatics.

"I'm Always Ready" is a single from this project which I always admired with Ava's silky and hard-edged vocal. It was a real tease and even more alluring with The Sweethearts of Sigma backing the track.

I have taken the album version and have given it a new ReStructure Mix along with song pieces of a Garage classic to ask the question - before Ava answers.

Dedicated to Ms. Ava Cherry and her continuing talent. Thank you, Ava for igniting a new sound which was meant to last!

"Burn" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Melba Moore

"Burn" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Melba Moore

Melba Moore is a singer and actress from New York who took the disco world by storm with her 1978 album "Melba" and her two big dance floor hits, "Pick Me I'll Dance" and "You Stepped Into My Life". Melba is still performing today keeping the fire alive with her energy, soul and fabulous vocals.

"Burn" is a wicked track from the 1979 by the same name - and also produced by Pete Bellotte (Donna Summer, Munich Machine, Trax). This is one song that had my dance floor jumping and screaming on Saturday nights. It is also one of my favorite disco tracks from Melba as it shows a versatile and workin' side of Melba's voice.

I have taken the album version and ReStructured the song to give it a new lift and also salute Ms. Moore for all she has and continues to give!
Burn, Melba!

"Can't Get To Sleep At Night" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

"Can't Get To Sleep At Night" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

Donna Summer released her second double-record set project in 1979 - and the album was one of the most satisfying releases of that year. Through disco/dance and ballads the album had it all and each segue to the next was a good as the last. Produced by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte.

The cut "Can't Get To Sleep At Night" was penned by Donna's husband, Bruce Sudano and percussionist Bob Conti. A nice synth-driven love song which is placed well within an early morning set or a nice long drive.

I have taken the album version of "Can't Get To Sleep At Night" and have given it a ReStructure Mix with a few new surprises and effects to give Summer fans an alternative version to dream to.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated top Bob T. - and a thanks to Bob for always being kind and dedicating another Donna Summer song which should not be hidden away. Thank you, Bob

"Oh, La La La" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Love & Kisses

"Oh, La La La" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Love & Kisses

Love & Kisses is a disco band created by Alec R. Costandinos in 1977 - with their first Euro-disco album "Love & Kisses" ("I Found Love (Now That I Have Found You)").

The Euro-disco sound became one of the foremost movers of the disco boom occurring in the mid and eventually the late 70s. It was a full orchestrated production which gave disco a whole arena and sound. The last album from Love & Kisses in 1979 was "You Must Be Love" - I have taken a track from the album titled "Ooh, La La La" and have given it the ReStructure Mix edge to give the lyrical song a place once again to remind us of the disco history which continues to ignite excitement and dancing all over the world.

"Take My Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Nancy Wilson

"Take My Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Nancy Wilson

Nancy Wilson is the jazz singer who recorded more than 70 albums and holds three Grammy Awards to her success. In 1980 Nancy recorded her album "Take My Love" - produced by Larry Farrow and Carolyn Johns. The project gave Nancy an opportunity to grace a wonderful disco track - "Take My Love".

This album contains Nancy's style in her jazz style and also soul/disco genre. It was quite exciting to hear this iconic voice again to a beautiful and lyrical dance number.

I have taken the album version of "Take My Love" and have given it a ReStructure Mix to strike up that Nancy feeling again with that touch of soul. It is a sound that began to emerge at the end of the disco boom as tracks like "Sweet Talk" by Robin Beck began to make club charts.

"I'm Coming Out" by Diana Ross -- Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

"I'm Coming Out" by Diana Ross -- Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Diana Ross took the 80s as the top "disco treat" in 1980 with her album titled "Diana" -- with a production by disco duo, Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers of Chic. The surpr

ise was that the transformation from disco to a funky-"Chic" sound was quite effective and lasting.

"I'm Coming Out" is the second hit from the project and is not only a marker for the Diva of Motown to announce her stance as a lasting performer and artist but also a personal anthem for many gay and lesbian pride celebrations for years following its club success.

I have taken the 1997 comedy titled "In & Out" starring Kevin Kline, Tom Selleck and Debbie Reynolds. The film was inspired by Tom Hank's speech during a 1994 Oscar win for his performance in "Philadelphia". Both move together with the celebratory mood and also the wacky scenes of our main character's struggle to accept himself, as is.

The film was directed by Frank Oz

"Hot For You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Brainstorm

Brainstorm is Belita Woods, Charles Overton, Deon Estus, Gerald Kent, Jeryl Bright, Lamont Johnson, Larry Sims, Renell Gonsalves, Robert Ross, Trenita Womack, andWilliam L. Wooten, III - a 70s funk/disco band who brought to the disco round a classic titled "Lovin' Is Really My Game" in 1977 - a classic with the lead vocal by Benita Woods!

"Hot For You" is from their 1979 album "Funky Entertainment" and pulls another big punch with a fast paced funky disco piece. It is one of my favorite high energy disco numbers of that year.

I have taken the original 12" extended mix by Mr. Rick Gianatos and ReStructured the song to pull a few more punches, add a familiar classic disco riff and give Benita another chance to make your feet and hips work!

Dedicated to the wonderful memory of Ms. Benita Woods who passed this year - her energy is still here - feel it!

“Lady Marmalade” by Labelle – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

“Lady Marmalade” by Labelle – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Labelle is Patti Labelle, Sarah Dash and Non Hendryx – a funk/soul female trio who began recording in the early 70s. Their 1974 album “Nightbirds” made history with the single “Lady Marmalade” which became a soul/pop hit and an everlasting echo of the funk in disco music’s early stages. Produced by Allen Toussaint.

I have taken the song and blended it in a Disco Video Mix with the 1963 romantic comedy, “Irma la Deuce” starring Shirley McLaine and Jack Lemmon. The setting of Hotel Casanova and the lane of working girls in France lift the song for a stage for pieces of light drama and a few dances scenes!

"Radio Action" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Claudja Barry

"Radio Action" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Claudja Barry

Claudja Barry is a performer who began her career in Munich, Germany and eventually became one of disco music most celebrated artists.l He early hits "Sweet Dynamite", "Dancin' Fever" and the big "Boogie Woogie Dancin' Shoes" are track which expose the disco beat properly.

"Radio Action" is from Claudja's 1981 album "Made In Hong King" - produced by her husband Jurgen Koduletch (Disco Circus, Ronnie Jones, Lipstique). This track is in the uplifting disco genre with a high chorus which makes any dancer feel higher than the mirror ball.

I have taken the 12" version and have given it a ReStructure Mix to pull that classic sequencer layer out and play a bit with the vocals and verses. It is a whole new track now with some of the new beats guiding the promise of success as the lyrics say.

"Bad Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Cher

"Bad Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Cher

Cher has taken over the dance floor again! "Take Me Home" is a classic disco track created by Bob Esty and the fabulous essence of Cher. It was not long until a follow-up and more, were demanded.

"Bad Love" is a track written by Cher and produced by Giorgio Moroder from the soundtrack of the motion picture "Foxes" from 1980. This electronic whirl into the sound that Moroder created and perfected is a risque and tantalizing piece of disco work.

I have taken the soundtrack version and created a ReStructure Mix - making the synthesizers work for Cher in a new way. It is a whole new ball-game so get your mitts and head to the dance floor - ala Cher!

"What About Me" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - France Joli

"What About Me" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - France Joli

How can you say France Joli without saying "Come To Me"? The biggest dance floor painted "disco" in the late 70s. France has come a long way back claim her fame as it always should have been.

"What About Me" is a track from her 1985 album "Witch Of Love" - which also featured her song, "Does He Dance" featured in the film "Perfect". The song "What About Me" is a 3:45 minute track that I always had a heck of time trying to extend when the album was new. Thanks to a request by friends, Nick and Lindsay (from Australia) I have taken on a ReStructure Mix for the dance number.

New intro - added effects and a familiar chorus to give France more to think about as a love ends and leaves someone lonely...as love always does when it ends.

For Nick and Lindsay! Thank you boys - here is the longue version!

"How High The Moon" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gloria Gaynor

"How High The Moon" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Gloria Gaynor

Gloria Gaynor is the voice which brought disco music to a frantic celebration. Her first LP "Never Say Goodbye" produced by Jay Ellis, Meco Monardo and Tony Bongiovi seemed to capture a sound which discotheques where searching for. Along with the help of Tom Mouton and the disco mix the rest was made by dancers and history.

"How How The Moon" is a cover of the Benny Goodman & His Orchestra recording done with disco flare and excitement. Complete with vocals by the queen of dance! This is truly a blockbuster moment!

I have taken the album version which holds true to the first Gaynor album in the antidote for disco's sheer way of symphony and funky grooves. A new ReStructure Mix gives the bass line a front and of course the swooning strings a chance to tell their story.

Nick and Lindsay - Once again, for you both. Thank you for requesting the hidden giants and helping me to keep the sound of disco in it's great shell alive!

"Green Light" by Cory Daye -- Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

"Green Light" by Cory Daye -- Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Cory Daye is known for her classic performances with Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band -- "Cherchez La Femme" and "I'll Play The Fool" from 1976 -- during the creative growth of disco music. Along with producers Sandy Linzer and August Darnell (Machine) the stage was set for Cory to record her own solo album in 1979 -- " Cory and Me".

The first big disco hit "Pow Wow" was followed appropriately by the flip side of the big 12" single, "Green Light". It is the sound of a lighter edge of big-band along with the familiar theme of making the man come to momma.

I have taken "Green Light" and blended it with the 1984 film, "Swing Shift" with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell -- and although the theme of the film is much different from the disco hit -- I used parts of the big-band era and the heroine's dilemma to match the disco beats and drama

"Don't Worry Baby" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Good Vibrations

"Don't Worry Baby" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Good Vibrations

The Good Vibrations is a disco project from producer Stewart Levine - known for productions with Hugh Masekela, The Crusaders, Minnie Riperton and Rare Earth. His project "I Get Around" is a disco-fied production of songs by The Beach Boys.

This is one of the early disco projects which fit into the complete arrangement and orchestration of an ensemble. Very well placed and also features the late, great Luther Vandross on vocals and also David Lasley and Arnold McCuller - crooning a new sound for the pop-beach sound of the 60s translated to the disco dance floor.

I have taken the album version of "Don't Worry Baby" and have given it a new ReStructure Mix adding a few pieces from another disco cover of the Beach Boys tunes by Sea Cruise. The drum beats of the original are the foundation again and the sweet ballad feel of the song.

"Happily Ever After" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

"Happily Ever After" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer

Donna Summer took discotheques on a magical journey with her 1977 double-album "Once Upon A Time". And with musical arrangement in the hands of disco producer, composer and conductor Bob Esty the story was complete. Each track in this package is a golden moment filling in the make-believe fairy tale of a modern day Cinderella.

I have taken the finale closing dance track from side 4, "Happily Ever After" and decided to play with the rejoice in the closing of our tale. It is a ReStructure Mix which extends the original album version and gently takes segments into a deep-breakdown. It is a playful remix which only lends my play in one of my favorite musical productions ever!

"I Can See Him Makin' Love To You, Baby" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Ray Dahrouge

"I Can See Him Makin' Love To You, Baby" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Ray Dahrouge

Ray Dahrouge is a singer, producer, writer and arranger who has worked on many projects in the recording industry since the late 60s. His 1976 production of Street People and his genius of blending a Philly sound along with the sound of the growing disco trends is one of his talents I have been moved by.

"Rendezvous With Destiny" is 1979 album with the hit "I Can See Him Makin' Love To You, Baby" which helped the big year of disco sound complete. The track is a catchy post-love song with the pain and regrets. The emotion that flow along with the dramatic strings and funky guitars pulls it all together in the production. Disco producer John Davis assists here on the arranging and conducting along with Billy Terrell co-producing.

I have taken the 12" version of "I Can See Him Making Love To You, Baby" and rerouted the mix with the emphasis on those infectious wah-wah guitars to give this new ReStructure Mix a new feeling.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to the man himself, Mr. Ray Dahrouge who has given a new shade of sound to disco music with his talent and love. Thank you, Ray!

"J'ai Deux Amours (Two Loves Have I)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Phylicia Allen

"J'ai Deux Amours (Two Loves Have I)" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Phylicia Allen

Phylicia Allen is a singer/actress who had a brief moment of disco stardom with her LP "Josephine Superstar" from 1978 - a tribute to dancer/singer and actress, Josephine Baker. The project was produced by Jacques Morali - who is also very well known for his disco work from Village People and Ritchie Family.

"Two Loves Have I (J'ai Deux Amours)" is the hit from the album and does well in creating a new stage for transforming the Baker 1931 hit into a swirling disco number. I have taken the album version and have staged a ReStructure Mix to give the song a new arrangement and length - also removing the tail end of the duo track, "Josephine Superstar" to enable the song to stand alone.

"Gloria" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Laura Branigan

"Gloria" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Laura Branigan

Laura Branigan is pop-disco recording artist who was heavily influenced by Donna Summer, Gladys Knight and Stevie Nicks. Her big break came with a cover of Italian singer, Umberto Tozzi's "Gloria" in 1982. The song took off instantly in clubs and radio making Laura and instant star.

I have taken the 12" version of "Gloria" and worked a new ReStructure Mix to give the song a new reason to feel the power of the song itself - as Branigan seems to speak of a fast-track woman who should catch herself before everything collides. A great track!

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Miss Laura Branigan who sadly left us in 2004 - her voice and music continue to bring out the drama of dance music and the beauty of this lady.

The Crusaders are a jazz-dance group with members Wilton Felder, Nesbert "Stix" Hooper, Joseph Sample and Larry Carlton. Founded in 1956 and began recording albums in 1961.

"Street Life" is their 1979 project and features jazz vocalist Randy Crawford on the title track. A nice jazz-disco number with the vocal topping the shine of the production.

I have taken the album version of "Street Life" and have given it a new ReStructure Mix with a new arrangement and some sprinkles of disco-dub throughout. It is one of my favorite tracks from The Crusaders and with Randy on vocals it has always been in the back of my mind - along with the memory of a crowded dance floor when I programmed the song.

"Flashback" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Rozalin Woods

"Flashback" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Rozalin Woods

Rozalin Woods in a disco singer who released her first and only album in 1979 titled "Flashback" - the first big single and hit in the clubs during it's release was "Whatcha Gonna Do About It". The production by Ed Martinez (Al Wilson, Papa John Creach, N.E. Philly Band) is a full orchestrated and rich disco sound.

"Flashback" is the second single released which was released on a promo 12". It is a cover of a B-side from a 1973 45 single by Paul Anka. The disco version moves like a dramatic torch song and gives a moment to go back to the disco diva selling her emotions for the dancers to sweat to. There are a few samples to remind Rozalin of the reality of a lost love.

Dedicated to Nick and Lindsay - thanks for the request and bringing the disco-drama to life, once again!

"You're The One" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Boys Town Gang

"You're The One" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Boys Town Gang

Boys Town Gang is a disco project from the late disco producer, Bill Motley - whose intention was to provide dance floors with beautiful disco music in the early 80s - since many club-goers were not quite done dancing yet.

The first LP "Crusin' The Streets" is a classic with the glorious high energy/disco cover of Diana Ross' "Remember Me" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" (features Cynthia Manley on vocals). The follow up single is a remake of Little Sister's "You're The One" from 1970 - produced by Sly Stone.

I have taken the 12" mix on Moby Dick Records (San Francisco's own disco label in the early 80s) and ReStructured the track giving it a longer groove and also adding a few new surprises. The funky keyboards and horns are the heart and soul of underground disco music.

"Traffic Breakdown" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Boogie People

"Traffic Breakdown" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Boogie People

Boogie People is a Canadian produced disco project from Dominic Sciullo (Nancy Martin, Montreal) and Vincent Ciambrone (Claudia Hart, Tamara) - arranged in the full disco power mix - with plenty of bass, percussion, bongos, vibes and breaks.

"Traffic Breakdown" is a single released in 1980 - and was originally titled "Boogie Breakdown" as a B-side. This is a full force instrumental for the high energy portion of the night and also requires the dancers to follow each beat and synth loop. Very hypnotic and drenching!

I have taken the 12" version on Unidisc and ReStructured the instrumental in a new arrangement to remind us of just how those disco bongos were very contagious during the disco era.

"I'm Gonna Dance" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Asha

"I'm Gonna Dance" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Asha

Asha (Asha Puthli) has been recording since 1974 - and creating a captivating style of funk which began moving dance floors in a new way. It was her 1979 LP titled "L'Indiana" which struck the single "I'm Gonna Dance" on the Henry Stone label T.K. Records and created an underground hit in an new electro-vibe sound, yet Asha's commanding vocal style.

I have taken the 12" version of "I'm Gonna Dance" and created an alternative ReStructure Mix - editing the haunting like feel of the track with more of a echo of rhythm and drum fills which make the original the classic disco track that it has became.

Dedicated to Ms. Asha Puthli and thanks to her wonderful years of music and talent shared with the disco community.

"The Visitors" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - ABBA
ABBA creates a classic dance track in 1981 - just when you thought their prior project, "Super Trooper" had elevated their rein in both pop and disco music. This production is truly one of the most imaginative and pop-savvy ever!

This ReStructure Mix takes the album version 3 layers deeper with some samples from a one of ABBA's prior hits and another group of "visitors". Dedicated to ABBA fans around the world and the magic of disco music!

"Jump" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pointer Sisters

"Jump" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Pointer Sisters
Pointer Sisters (Anita Pointer, June Pointer, Ruth Pointer) have been one the groups of the 80s whom helped save the disco mood and theme. Many of their pop-tracks stayed close to the dance formula and keeping the dance floor alive with energy and excitement.

"Jump" is from their big 1983 album "Contact" - where it seemed like an endless barrage of singles and hits were spinning out of control for the girls. Thank goodness for them and luck for us.

I have taken the 12" vocal and instrumental of "Jump" and created a new ReStructure Mix making the mood as festive and celebratory yet adding some new loops and edits to the recipe!

"Straight From The Heart" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Loose Change
Loose Change is Leah Banks, Donna Beene and Rebecca Anderson - under the production of Mr. Tom Moulton in 1979 the impact of disco and it's power is displayed.

"Straight From The Heart" is from their self-titled album which features John Davis, Thor Baldursson, Larry Washington and Don Renaldo's Strings and Horns - it is complete and honest disco music.

I have taken the 12" version of "Straight From The Heart" and have given it a ReStructure Mix to give it a new feel and to continue on the disco sound which makes the disco lover proud to dance and claim the legacy.

Dedicated to Mr. Tom Moulton - the man who made the 70s such a great place to live in and continue the memories with heart and soul!

"It's Over" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Alma Faye Brooks

"It's Over" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Alma Faye Brooks
Alma Faye Brooks is one of the artists from 1979 who brought excitement to the soul of disco music. Her album "Doin' It" was produced by Canadian producers Dominic Sciscente and Michel Daigle (Black Light Orchestra, Space Project).

"It's Over" was released as a 12" with the flip-side "Don't Fall In Love" - one powerhouse single for clubs during the finale phase of the disco era. Backed with the emotional and soulful vocals of Ms. Brooks you can sense the dedication to the art and creating dance music with intensity.

I have taken the original 12" version to recreate a new ReStructure Mix using a few new elements and breaking down that incredible rolling bass lines. This is one of the songs which brings to mind the word "classic" in it's first few minutes.

Dedicated to Nick and Lindsay and thanks for requesting this project which keeps the disco diva legend alive!

Today Cynthia continues to perform around the world and keep the uplifting feel of disco music alive.

"Working Girl" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Cheri

"Working Girl" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Cheri
Cheri is disco group from Montreal - Amy Roslyn and Rosalind Hunt (Geraldine Hunt's daughter and Freddie James' sister). Their first self-titled LP from 1982 featured their first big disco hit, "Murphy's Law".

"Working Girl" is from their Lp "Love Stew" from 1983 which was also a bug club record thanks to its bouncy house-like feel with a sassy, yet lyrical vocal.

I have taken the 12" of "Working Girl" and have given it a ReStructure Mix and work-over - creating another opportunity to "work it"!

"Time Of The Seasons" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Neil Cloud Orchestra

"Time Of The Seasons" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Neil Cloud Orchestra
The Neil Cloud Orchestra is a disco project from Neil Cloud - who was formerly a member of a 70s rock band titled Rabbitt. His production along with Mike Arato and Steve Thompson of The Zombies classic, "Time Of The Seasons" is a wonderful disco version with a soaring femme edge to the track. The percussion and rolling bass provide a wonderful transformation from psychedelic to mirror balls!

I have taken the original 12" version (both vocal and instrumental) on T.K. Disco and ReStructured a new version using samples of the original and rearranging and adding more of the beautiful instrumental for a dreamy sound.

Dedicated to Mr. Steve Thompson - thank you Steve for your wonderful work and talent!

"Music Machine" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Joel Diamond Experience

"Music Machine" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Joel Diamond Experience
Joel Diamond is a producer/songwriter who founded his own label, Silver Blue Records in the 70s - we were fortunate enough that his focus was on dance music - even though his credits include a long list of pop, blues and soul artists.

Joel Diamond Experience is a project from 1978 which uses all of the sounds and energy of disco music as it evolved from the early 70s. The album featured a list of performers and musicians who helped to make this project a disco-fun house. Vocals include Jocelyn Shaw (Brown), Zach Sanders and Gordon Grody.

"Music Machine" is a single from the album and is ReStructured here to emphasize the excitement and outline of disco music - with a country-edge added to give it a new touch.

Dedicated to Mr. Joel Diamond for his longevity in the music industry and his continued part in keeping the ears and feet satisfied!

"Rock Me Now" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Peter Batah

"Rock Me Now" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Peter Batah
Peter Batah is a Canadian disco artist whom released 2 big club hits during the early 80s transition from disco-to-high energy. "Rock Me Now" is his single from 1980 which created a craving for high-disco tracks all-over again in the early 80s. The track was produced by Claude Allard who also produced Black Star and Miki Hope - and also worked on tracks for Lime, France Joli, Freddie James, Suzy Q and U.N.. Some notes suggest this may even be Denis LePage under an alias.

I have taken the original Canadian 12" - using the vocal and instrumental creating a ReStructure Mix for "Rock Me Now" using more of the electronic features of the mix for a longer intro and more fantastic drop breaks in between. It is one of those rock-pop disco numbers similar to what Paul Sabu was releasing as Sabu.

"I Want A Man" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Noel

"I Want A Man" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Noel
Noel is a disco artist from 1979 brought to us by Ron Mael and Russell Mael - better known as the rock band Sparks. Following the release of the Mael Brothers LP "No. 1 In Heaven" which was produced by Giorgio Moroder - the electronic disco formula may have been a bit contagious and perplexing to these artists.

Taking their nu-wave-ish muse and applying a disco edge to the pulsating rhythms brought the LP "Is There More To Life Than Dancing" to life - the entire project is looked at by disco-collectors as classic dance material.

I have taken the album version of the closing track, "I Want A Man" (which I played out during it's release and in stand up bars in the 80s) and extended it and tweaked it into a new ReStructure Mix for you lovers of Noel, Sparks and the Moroder disco sound.

"Don't Leave Me This Way" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Carol Jiani

"Don't Leave Me This Way" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Carol Jiani
Carol Jiani has been giving her unique touch to dance music since the late 70s. Her vocals bring to mind a torch-like feel and powerful resonance. In 1981, her big high energy track "Hit and Run Lover" gave her name a moment in dance floor history which is referred to frequently.

"Don't Leave Me This Way" is a cover of Thelma Houston's classic - in Carol's own flavor and execution. A great variation to bring the song into a mellow and haunting feel. During the early 80s the song was covered by many artists - this being one of my favorites for it's variance.

I have taken the song from the 1984 album "Dancing In The Rain" project - produced by Joe La Greca and Louis Toteda - and had created a ReStructure Mix to give this wonderful cover another place to spotlight Carol's talent and dedication to her fans and disco music.

"Lies" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Thompson Twins

"Lies" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Thompson Twins
Thompson Twins are an 80s synth-pop band with Alannah Currie, Joe Leeway and Tom Bailey. Their 1983 album "Quick Step and Side Kick" featured the single "Lies". This single was a huge club single and helped to bring a new sound and speed to dance floors in the early 80s.

I have taken the 12" vocal and dub to recreate a ReStructure Mix with a new edit and message for feet and the mind. This combination of percussion, synths and vocal approach were a welcomed sound to dance floors and now celebrated as a great piece of dance music history.
