ReStructure Mix Update (2/1/24):”Without You” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Midnight Shift

The Midnight Shift is a dance/disco/high energy project from the UK including some of the great parts of 80’s dance: Ian Anthony Stephens, Ian Gant and Robin Wright. Their 1991 single is a cover of the Harry Nilsson song from 1972 titled “Without You”. This cover incorporates a riff from the ABBA track “The Winner Takes It All” and fits too comfortably in this new arrangement. It is a blessing for the high energy community that this session existed and also for the remnants of the remakes they have covered it is sheer heaven.

I have taken the 12” vocal and dub versions of The Midnight Shift’s “Without You” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix. Parts of the original outline this new remix and the feel of this piece.
