ReStructure Mix Update (9/30/24):”Ou Est Le Soleil” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney teamed up with producers Trevor Horn, Stephen Lipson and Shep Pettibone to dive into the underground sound of house music in 1989. This electronic track plays with deep bass and plenty of the ricocheting effects that bring back the early 80’s experimental period where bands like Art Of Noise weaved a new path. Paul works his end with a French vocal asking where is the “sun”? It is an abstract piece which displays Pettibones mixing genius along with Lipson and Horn’s never ending creative edge.

I have taken the 12” versions of “Ou Est Le Soleil” and recreated a  new outline for this ReStructure Mix. More of the electronic pieces are used and chopped into new bits for this track.
