Gino Soccio brought a new face to disco music in the mid and late 70’s. His progressive sound during the late 70’s in projects by Kebekelektrek, Busta Jones, Radiah Frye, Karen Silver and Witch Queen included his electronic touch. His solo album in 1979 on Ray Caviano’s subsidiary label was a huge move for disco music when tracks like “Dancer” and “The Visitors” were sounds that began an ambient and new-age sound with disco electronics taking control. Soccio’s following project began growing into his newly created style and continues to memorize listeners and dancers. “Human Nature” is a single released in 1985 and features Michelle Sweeney on lead vocals. This powerful message is a message of attraction and the cause. Michelle’s vocals work well with the new age electronic sound and leave this Soccio piece, a classic.
I have taken the 12” version of “Human Nature” and reworked the winding sequencers and riffs into a new ReStructure Mix. It was always a favorite of mine so I yearned for a new arrangement and change that would express what I could hear in Soccio’s magic.
