REISSUE: “Touch Me Baby” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Ultimate

Ultimate is one of the early Euro-disco projects to become main stream in disco music during the peak. Produced by Juliano Salerni and Bruce Weeden with the sound that Casablanca Records artist Alec R. Costandinos had made a new sound along with music by Cerrone. It was take on the Barry White and Philly sound which was full of funky bass and drums with an orchestral accompaniment. The European disco sound that Boris Midney enhanced around the same time with his own experimental take with USA European Connection. “Touch Me Baby” is a piece from the “Ultimate” album – that was conceived by Marc Paul Simon and is the true essence of that disco sound that was becoming the standard during the following years. The production on Ultimate is one the most driven outlines in disco of the time and brings a soulful rhythm into a disco arena.

I have taken the piece “Touch Me Baby” from the album Medley-“Love Is The Ultimate” and reworked its magic into a new ReStructure Mix. New percussion is added and the arrangement is rewired to give the song a new vitality.
