Sylvester is alive again with this track titled, “I’ll Dance To That” – from his 1980 album titled “Sell My Soul”. Produced by Harvey Fuqua and Sylvester this track gives us a nights celebration where life is good and promising so that the dance floor is “thanks”. A big chorus makes this one irresistible and uplifting. One of the great tracks from Sylvester which missed it opportunity as a big dance floor mover if released as a 12” remix – however Fantasy Records may have been grooming him for a big change as we find a year later in his jazz-fused “Too Hot To Sleep” project. It was the music that 1982 brought with Megatone Records which is what Sylvester was made to create.
I have taken the album version of “I’ll Dance To That” and rewired the energy for this ReStructure Mix to fill in lost time with this very talented man. Sylvester’s message gets relayed again with a more extensive move into the dance realm. It is what we know of Sylvester and will never forget.
