Dick Griffey of Solar Records moved in quickly securing the latter part of the 70's to secure his stamp on a style of dance music during the disc years. His association with dance/funk music became the sound of Solar. "Dance With You" is probably the best of it's time. Using a heavy bass line track and a lead guitar that moves through the cut with a style of rock and roll flair - along with Carrie's light and airy vocals this track was a club phenomena. The power that this song created was incredible. I have taken the meat and potatoes of the mix and reworked it's elements into a new ReStructure Mix to bring home another sound for the track. Notable is that Carrie is Greg Phillinganes' (keyboard genius) sister and wife of label president, Dick Griffey.
