Man Parrish hit the clubs in 1982 with his LP, "Man Parrish" which included his hit, "Hip Hop Be Bop" and "Heatstroke". During this time a resurgence of a new techno-charge dance music was being formulated and perfected. "Heatstroke" being a big lead-in to this period. Produced by Man Parrish and Raul A. Rodriguez
The track is reminiscent of a Giorgio Moroder track with it's futuristic vocoder elements - but Man Parrish takes the energy to whole new level. He has marked a time where technology and dance music began their longtime relationship.
I have taken "Heatstroke" and added a few new breakdowns and playful edits along the way in this ReStructure Mix - an homage to Mr. Parrish.
