• "Spacer" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sheila and B. Devotion1980 brought them team of Bernard Edwards and Nile Rogers together with disco group, Sheila and B. Devotion. Their 1978 venture, "Singing In The Rain" was produced by Claude Carrere.
This new production was indeed a mixture of two varied dance formulas - a European style vocal team (complete with French accent) and a funky New York disco sound. "Spacer" was the single which broke out from the LP and became an instant hit. The bass and lead guitars work their way through this track like a tight knit macrame sweater.
I have taken the guitars, keyboards and wonderful bass into a new treatment for "Spacer" again using the ReStructure formula. This one is "spacier" than usual.
