Sister Power is a disco group created by producer Paul Sabu who gave us iconic dance tracks from Debbie Jacobs, Ann Margret and his own solo releases from 1979 through 2012. His work has been the peak of disco music in the late 70s as he accentuates on the soaring strings, funky guitars and heavy percussion. It is sheer heaven for disco connesseuers and the proof is in the sound itself. Lead vocals on Sister Power are provided by Gwen Jonae who wears this project out. Her powerful dedication and soulful edge are an experience that lasts with time. “Love Potion” is another release from the album which I always made a spot for during peak hours of hardcore dancing. It is one of those disco tracks that play out like an explosive groove that will not stop raging. Another classic for Paul Sabu and Sister Power.
I have taken the album version of “Love Potion” and gave tribute to Mr. Sabu in this ReStructure Mix which takes those wild guitar riffs and translates them into another ride. The vocal is another spotlight moment so I have arranged many breakdowns and builds with the best of the experience.
