ReStructure Mix Update (7/30120) “Make Your Move” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Joe Thomas

ReStructure Mix Update (7/30120) “Make Your Move” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Joe Thomas

Joe Thomas is a 70’s soul jazz and funk musician who began his recording career in 1964. His music was accented by his very well-known flute talents which were always the lure of each song as he always played with emotion and ease. Joe’s music was also following the crossover of soul music to funk which gave his flute performances a whole new stage. “Make Your Move” is from the 1979 album by the same name and features vocals by Gordon Grody (credited as Pleasure Palace) who may sound familiar with Gregg Diamond’s sessions. This release was also a 12” single which moved quite well as a follow up to Joe’s 1978 disco hit “Plato’s Retreat” (featured Diva Gray). The arrangements were laid out by Brad Baker who also worked on many successful disco projects in the late 70’s.

I have taken the 12” version of “Make Your Move” from T.K. Records and reworked a new intro and fade out for this ReStructure Mix. There are a few new elements added using the existing drums and fabulous hand claps track.
