ReStructure Mix Update (12/2/22): “That’s When (We’ll Be Free)” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – State Of Grace
State Of Grace is an 80’s synth-pop band consisting of Adrian Thomas, David Inglesfield and Pat Thomas. Their 1982 single “That’s When (We’ll Be Free)” is one of their memorable pieces which utilizes a heavy bass beat and light spotty keyboard layers to execute the rhythm. It was produced by Lawrence Burrage and the band itself. This one gives way to a promise of freedom as the night progresses and every in store is positive and momentum. A nice crossover number for either early evening or early morning.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “That’s When (We’ll Be Free)” and have given it a new ReStructure Mix using more of those pounding drum beats as a foundation. The energy is given a lift some new added percussion and accenting of those drums.
