ReStructure Mix Update (7/12/24):”Break Me” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Charade featuring Norma Lewis

Charade is a high energy project from Geoff Rivell and Fred Bolero – and featured on the UK label Passion Records. This production is the early 80’s return to disco music with dramatic flair done in an electronic arena. The power behind many of this sound is the most incredible wall of sound in the 80’s. “Break Me” is their second release from 1984 and has that sweeping orchestra edge along with the heavy beats and rhythmic percussion. Norma Lewis leads this fantastic song about a romance which seems to take it all in keeping the flame alive and does it with her best. This is perhaps one of her most powerful vocals on a recording. High energy is given it right here and so are dancers.

I have taken the 12” vocal and i9nstrumental of “Break Me” and have given it tribute to music in my life in this ReStructure Mix. It is broken down into new parts and a few new breaks bring the choruses a bit more shaky ground.
