ReStructure Mix Update (10/14/24):”Lay It On The Line” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Elaine Charles

Elaine Charles is a high energy artist from Canada founded by Louis Toteda and her 1987 single “Lay It On The Line” being one of her big dance floor hits. The track was produced by Teneen Ali and was mixed down by The Golden Boys using the sample riffs to emphasize its power. The song is an ultimatum drawn by our heroine who knows something is going on behind the scenes with her relationship and she wants to know now. It is a fast moving piece that never gives up from start to finish and one of the crossover tracks of the time from Canadian label to US.

I have taken the 12” vocal and dub of “Lay It On The Line” and reworked the energy for this new ReStructure Mix. Adding a longer new fade-in intro and also taking advantage of those wonderful percussion layers.
