ReStructure Mix Update (12/4/25): ”Dance, Freak and Boogie” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Nightlife Unlimited

Nightlife Unlimited is a Canadian disco project from Johnny Dorazio, Louis Toteda, Peter Sciascia and Tony Bentivegna. Released in 1979, which is the period where disco music peaked and many projects as such were a finale sound from the years of growth starting in the early 70s. “Dance, Freak and Boogie” is a track from the first album which is an anthem in the disco realm in outline of the excitement and dedication to those clamoring for that beat and the energy it creates. This piece features The Sweethearts of Sigma (Barbara Ingram, Carla Benson and Evette Benton) on vocals bringing the song to life as they have done throughout the mid-70s. More of the elements featuring percussion and electronic sequencers are the real stars as this one helps the mirror ball make its rotation throughout the night.

I have taken the album and 12” remix of “Dance, Freak and Boogie” and reassembled the rhythm segments into a new ReStructure Mix. The cowbells and bongos are used in pieces to give this new arrangement a new teasing attraction.
