REISSUE: "Can't Get To Sleep At Night" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Donna Summer Donna Summer released her second double-record set project in 1979 - and the album was one of the most satisfying releases of that year. Through disco/dance and ballads the album had it all and each segue to the next was a good as the last. Produced by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte. The cut "Can't Get To Sleep At Night" was penned by Donna's husband, Bruce Sudano and percussionist Bob Conti. A nice synth-driven love song which is placed well within an early morning set or a nice long drive. I have taken the album version of "Can't Get To Sleep At Night" and have given it a ReStructure Mix with a few new surprises and effects to give Summer fans an alternative version to dream to. This ReStructure Mix is dedicated top Bob T. - and a thanks to Bob for always being kind and dedicating another Donna Summer song which should not be hidden away. Thank you, Bob

REISSUE: "Looking For Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Candi Staton
REISSUE: "I Can't Dance Without You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Theo Vaness
REISSUE: "I Can't Dance Without You" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Theo Vaness Theo Vaness is a Dutch disco artist who brought a unique sound to clubs and turntables. His first album “Back To Music” featured a medley of standards and classics which Theo made each his own. It was the start of a romance with Theo for many disc jockeys and dancers as hi dance music progressed. His third and finale album titled “Theo Vaness” featured numerous dance hits produced by Michaele, Paul Sebastian and Lana Sebastian. The single “I Can’t Dance Without You” was the first single from the album and was a huge dance floor hit! I have taken the 12” single with two remixes by Francois Kevorkian and blended the two and created a new ReStructure Mix to bring the track back to its emotional and funky-disco state. This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Mr. Theo Vaness and his wonderful and lovely niece, Loulou Singerling

ReStructure Mix Update (4/2/21) “California Dreaming” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Midnight Shift
ReStructure Mix Update (4/2/21) “California Dreaming” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Midnight Shift
The Midnight Shift is a studio project from producers, Ian Anthony Stephens, Ian Gant and Robin Wright – three major motivating individuals in the high energy music scene of the 80’s. “California Dreaming” is their cover of The Mamas and the Papas pop classic from 1970 and follows closely on duplicating their sound with a Euro-house bass and beat. This production is of their best with many dance elements working with the outline and mood of the song. It features Issy Van Randwyck on vocals and also has a wonderful sound that brings to life harmony over the thumping beats. A big dance floor hit in 1990 on its release and also played a very important role in being on many hardcore underground house playlists for a Euro-house release.
I have taken the 12” vocal, dub and instrumental versions of The Midnight Shifts “California Dreaming” and recreated a new ReStructure Mix. The original finds its way into this mix and also leads to the unation of what this cover stick close to the original and makes magic before our eyes and feet.

WHERE THERE'S HOT THERE'S FIRE - Burn This Disco Out
WHERE THERE'S HOT THERE'S FIRE - Burn This Disco Out
REISSUE: “Hot Lunch Jam” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Irene Cara
REISSUE: “Hot Lunch Jam” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Irene Cara Irene Cara is a 70’s icon who made her way through the film and music industry. In 1980 she starred in the motion picture “Fame” and also sang the title track along with “Hot Lunch Jam” and a ballad titled “Out Here On My Own”. Irene Cara’s career was in top form during this run and it lead to another follow up in the film “Flashdance” where she also sang the titled track – produced by Giorgio Moroder. “Hot Lunch Jam” is a segment of the film where student of an art academy ad-lib a session in the lunch hall. It is one of the memorable moments from the film and gives this track a lasting memory. I have taken the album version of “Hot Lunch Jam” and recreated a new intro and outline for this ReStructure Mix, I have centered on using the intro beats as the guide for this new experience of a “hot” number.
REISSUE: "Hot Shot" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Karen Young
REISSUE: "Hot Shot" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Karen Young Disco emerged from an underground sound in the mid-70's and one of the pack-leaders was "Hot Shot" by Karen Young. There was a unique sound to this cut during it's time. The hand claps and horn sections raised the roof off many a dance floor, as well as Karen's powerful and tantalizing vocals! Paul from New York requested this ReStructure - I pulled out the percussion to guide this reedit into a new feel.
REISSUE: "Too Hot To Handle" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Giorgio
REISSUE: "Too Hot To Handle" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Giorgio Giorgio Moroder's classic electronic recording, "From Here To Eternity" is a project referred to by progressive techno and electronic dance composers and dancers alike. It is one of the most intriguing at a time where sequencers and computer recording at all levels of the artist - perhaps this is the perfection achieved by Mordoer in this recording. "Too Hot To Handle" comes from the LP and has one of the meanest synthetic bass lines - which invoked a ReStructure Mix of this fascinating song. it is reworked with a few new elements and Moroder's phasing "re phased"!
REISSUE: "Two Hot For Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - THP Orchestra
REISSUE: "Two Hot For Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - THP Orchestra From the 12 inch release in 1977 this wonderful instrumental became the powerhouse sensation with a great vocal added by Barbara Fry - Produced by Ian Guenther and Willi Morrison (under the acronym THP for Three Hats Productions). This began a great studio group to create some of the most danceable disco music. This production focuses on the flavor of early 70's disco with funky keyboards and fantastic innovative synths (offered here by W. Michael Lewis of El Coco fame). This cut is a great production - this ReStructure attempts to maintain a thorough fare of energy.
REISSUE: “Too Hot Ta Trot” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Commodores
REISSUE: “Too Hot Ta Trot” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Commodores Commodores released “Too Hot Ta Trot” in 1977 – from their “Live!” album – produced by James Anthony Carmichael and Commodores. The song was an instant hit and became one of the tracks to appear in the film, “Thank God It’s Friday” in 1978 along with their performance live from the discotheque. The Zoo. This funk masterpiece has all of the riffs that their previous hit, “Brick House” contained and more. This one set this band up for a roll in the funk, soul and disco scene and charts. I have taken the long version of “Too Hot Ta Trot” and worked a new ReStructure Mix to give more of those groovy guitars and the funky brass. I played a great deal with the original to create a more underground and surprise experience for those used to moving their hips to this one!

REISSUE: “San Francisco” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Cappuccino
REISSUE: “San Francisco” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Cappuccino Cappuccino is a disco group from 1979 produced by Danilo Vaona and Gian Pietro Felisatti and featured three singles that are a legacy of the sound of disco’s uplifting and melodic sound. The production displays a few sounds including the symphonic edge of a disco anthem to an underground afterhours feel. “San Francisco” is a single from the self-titled which rings out as anthem for the West Coast city and a few hooks leave the track echoing as an anthem should. I have taken the album version of “San Francisco” to create a ReStructure Mix to bring another good-feeling alive again. The vocals playout as the energy which is full-on disco music in its top form. A few new parts are added and an intro which offers more of a fading intro rather than the original horn arrangement. It is a nice uplifting song and a group which holds many fond memories of a crowded dance floor and when programmed an overall good aura in the room.
