"The Night They Invented Love" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - NoelNoel is an 80s dance project created by Ron Mael and Russell Mael who are also Sparks. Their work with disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder ("Beat The Clock") had obviously influenced their synthesizer and sequencer curiosity in the late 70s disco movement.
"The Night They Invented Love" is from the LP "Is There More To Life Than Dancing?" which was released in 1979 - this project offered a light twist on a new-wave vocal with the pumping edge of electro-disco. It is a celebrated sound among disco audiophiles - and Noel is somewhat of an underground hit.
I have taken "The Night They Invented Love" as one of my favorite tracks of the time and placed parts of the song into a re-edit and surface face lift to give it a whole new aural journey. The song still sounds mystifying and gave me a whole new purpose for the sake of keeping it alive.
