Taste Of Honey is Donald R. Johnson, Hazel P. Payne, Janice M. Johnson and Perry Kibble - they are well known for their 1978 disco hit "Boogie Oogie Oogie" - and also the award for first black group to win the Best New Artist Grammy in 1979.
"Rescue Me" comes from their third LP "Twice As Sweet" from 1980 - produced by George Duke. It was a pop radio hit and made some club play lists: the 3:20 minute album version was the only version available at the time.
I have taken the album version and have given it an extended ReStructure Mix with a bit of an underground flavor. It has some drop out surprises and a long take on those funky guitar tracks!
