ReStructure Mix Update (8/31/13) “Lonely Night” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Linda Clifford

ReStructure Mix Update (8/31/13) “Lonely Night” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Linda Clifford

Linda Clifford is a jazz singer and actress who moved onto disco and soul music in 1977 when she was signed to Curtis Mayfield’s Curtom Records label. It was not long after this when Linda became a headlining act on disco dance floors every night! Her hits “Runaway Love”, “If My Friends Can See Me Now”, “Red Light”, “Don’t Come Crying To Me”, “Don’t Give It Up” and “You Are, You Are” gave a new spice to the soulful and rap of a new sound.

“Lonely Night” is from Linda’s 1979 album “Here’s My Love” and was produced by Munich’s Jurgen Koppers – another one of Linda’s heartbreak anthems which made my dance floor work into a sweaty frenzy – happily. I have taken the album version of “Lonely Night” and worked a new ReStructure Mix adding a duet feel with Mr. Eric Carmen who feels the same way Linda does.

The song was written by Leroy Gomez (Santa Esmeralda) and was featured on his album “I Got It Bad”.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Linda Clifford – one of the kindest and most talented ladies of disco. Thank you, Linda – you will shine as long as emotions are alive in our hearts and soul!
