ReStructure Mix Update (8/9/21) “Keep It Up” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – L.U.P.O.

L.U.P.O. is Lutz Ludwig – a DJ of a Munich nightclub who took his mixing craft into recording his conceptual house music on the Low Spirit Recordings label in 1990. “Keep It Up” is his first single and one of the underground tracks which caught the attention of the hardcore club jocks. The emphasis on the groove is the power behind this one and the light spoken rap is an antidote for any party on the floor. This one is perhaps one of the cutting edges of new beat and house music where the groove is hard core art form and the layers working above are the fascination of an offbeat subject. 

I have taken the 12” vocal, dub and afterhours mix of “Keep It Up” and moved this party into another space for this ReStructure Mix. Not only do we have a dialogue by “Cathy” here but also a cameo from another party starter from the 70’s, Ms. Gloria Gaynor.
