ReStructure Mix Update (2/23/23): “Star” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Claudio Mingardi

Claudio Mingardi is an Italian singer who released his single “Star” in 1983 – produced by Roberto Zanetti. The track is one if the adventurous pieces with the energy which makes the 80’s reflect as the high energy dance era. This track is more mid-tempo however the rolling bass sequence accents the level of power it creates. The theme is more of an imaginary hero who brings the sweetness in the chorus to life. The single was always an early evening warm up for me in my sets to bring on the energy as the evening progressed. A very nice and melodic feel give this one a nice purpose to keep the energy alive.

I have taken the 12” of “Star” and reenergized the feeling with more of a regal opening for this ReStructure Mix. The dramatic keyboard elements are the segments which I brought out and the new break make for a whole new edge for this classic.
