Ce Ce Peniston is a dance music artist who arrived during the peak of house music in clubs during the early 90’s with her big hit “Finally”. It was not long after this as her name became more evident with more big singles like “We Got A Love Thang” from 1991 – produced by Steve "Silk" Hurley. Each one of Ce Ce’s tracks was created with a soulful approach and a youthful essence in her performances – a whole new arena and direction for dance floors of the period. The song is just as celebratory as “Finally” with love and hope exuding from every house beat. Another classic 90’s club track with evidence of its magic right from the source.
I have taken the 12” “Silky” vocal and dub of “We Got A Love Thang” to move into this festive mood and create this new ReStructure Mix. The original keyboards are used to fill in the new point to point arrangement and a couple of new breaks added.
