ReStructure Mix Update (8/11/24):”Street Fever” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tasha Thomas

Tasha Thomas is a singer from the disco era and made her mark with one album – the singles: “Shoot Me (With Your Love)”, “Midnight Rendezvous”, “Hot Buttered Boogie” and “Street Fever”. From 1979 this lady held one of the clubs big floor movers which was her first single, “Shoot Me (With Your Love)” and yet the third single “Street Fever” made the crowds sweat all over again. It was Tasha’s enticing and predominant vocals which took each song and created her own outline in a diva format. “Street Fever” plays out a jazz revival and seems to give Tasha room to spread her talent across the track. Personally one of my 70’s favorites.

 I have taken the 12” version of “Street Fever” and lit the fire all over again for this ReStructure Mix. The bass is laid chopped and laid out a few new ways get that energy building with momentum. A few new breaks also give this remix more breathing space.
