Phyllis Nelson is a disco singer who had a huge dance floor hit with her 1980 song, “Don’t Stop The Train” - produced by Yves Dessca. Her project “Move Closer” from 1984 featured the track “Stop Don’t Do This To Me” and gave her another opportunity for a welcome on dance floors. A song about the damaging part of a relationship out in the open and a plea to make it easier to say goodbye. The production once again is Dessca and the intermediate rhythm tracks are interesting as both meet the pain and heartache to the hilt.
I have taken the 12” version of “Stop Don’t Do This To Me” into a new outline and execution for this ReStructure Mix. There are longer segments leading to each verse and a roaring chorus just before we get a break down for an exit.
