Lime is that color-wheel spinning on the old metallic holiday trees – igniting colors over a celebration. Their music has given dance floors a new found energy in the early 80’s and throughout 2002. “Take It Up” is from their 1984 project titled “Sensual Sensations” and is producer/musician/vocalist, Denis LePage in a new spectrum of high energy music. The heavy bass beats remain intact along with the light and romantic themes – yet there is a new side to Lime in this period. High energy music was growing quickly and LePage was the Godfather of it all. Many projects from various countries and artists emulated his style and execution. This track is a touch of Denis’ rock ‘n disco edge with a vocal that brings energy and the vitality which kept Lime in DJs grips always.
I have taken the album version of Lime’s “Take It Up” and resurfaced a new outline using the synthesizer in pieces and rewiring the energy once again. There is some play with the beats and heavy bass and the traction should keep the feet satisfactory to the dance floor itself.
