ReStructure Mix Update (4/15/22): “A Good Man Is Hard To Find” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Boys Town Gang

Boys Town Gang is a studio recording group whose first big hit, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” from 1981 featured Cynthia Manley on lead vocals. The project eventually led to a gamut of dance floor hits from their first hit through 1985. “A Good Man Is Hard To Find” is from their last album titled, “A Cast Of Thousands” which features Jessica Williams, Debbie Jacobs, Martha Wash, Izora Rhodes, Sylvester and Margaret Reynolds. It is producer, Bill Motley’s tribute to disco music and its lasting presence. Featured vocals on “A Good Man…” are JoLo – Jo-Carol Block and Lauren Carter. A big surprise from the group since the track was the last to surface from the many cuts that were classic Boys Town Gang merits.

I have taken the album version of “A Good Man Is Hard To Find” and reworked it for a new time for this one to play out. More heavy beats and a challenge from Cass Daley and the Cerrone ensemble to remember.
