ReStructure Mix Update (4/16/22): “Tower Of Love” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Romance
Romance is one of producers, Simon Soussan deep disco projects from 1978. The sound he created with disco music has always been the innovation between the mature formula with heavy beats and percussion. It was his lead that helped to pave the end of the 70’s to a full-on disco production with all of the elements that worked the floor. His groups French Kiss, Arpeggio, Charisma and his Pattie Brooks masterpiece album, “Our Miss Brooks” were the staying power of not a pop-edge, but more of the true underground disco feel. “Tower Of Love” is from the project “Dance My Way To Your Heart” and has always been a favorite of mine from the outline and still sounds mystifying. The lyrics reveal a love built throughout the years in jeopardy and undying allegiance to keep it alive.
I have taken the album version of “Tower Of Love” and placed it in that ReStructure Mix realm for Mr. Simon Soussan. This is the movement that made me believe in disco music and it is my time to give my homage to this talented man. Thank you, Mr. Soussan.
