The disco drought of the early 80's was saved by Patrick Cowley's extraordinary keyboard and sequencer hi-ball track, "Do Ya Wanna Funk" which featured a lead vocal by the fabulous, Sylvester.
The track was released on Megatone Records in 1982 - it was a blockbuster. Dance floors everywhere soaked up the energy and were in need of more - which Cowley delivered with a string of hits with artists like Sarah Dash, Paul Parker, Jo-Lo, and Loverde.
"Do Ya Wanna Funk" has been played for days - this ReStructure adds to the adventure and is dedicated to Sylvester and the magic man himself, Mr. Patrick Cowley.
