• "Reach Your Peak" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sister SledgeSister Sledge became the most celebrated female groups of the disco era thanks to Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers. Their 1978 hit "We Are Family" and "He's The Greatest Dancer" they have become a permanent fixture on the disco wall of fame.
After several LPs with the Chic producer the gals took many detours with their music to keep the funky-disco sound of Edwards and Rodgers as a part of their identity.
In 1980 their project "Love Somebody Today" included a funky lo-bpm track titled, "Reach Your Peak" - the track received allot of radio play but did not fare as well in the clubs. It was always a favorite of mine and a ReStructure kept haunting me with the clever title chant - so here is a take on the laid back style of the Chic geniuses and the Sister Sledge.
