REISSUE: “Puerto Rico” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Découpage

REISSUE:  “Puerto Rico” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Découpage

Découpage is an 80’s dance band assembled by producers Tony Swain and Steve Jolley. Their first single from 1982 titled “Puerto Rico” is a track which brings a funk-Latin feel to celebrate a country where dance and music is a part of history. The song was well received during a period where disco had shifted into a more funk infused sound. This one helped to blend the theme into a dance number with a slick production.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental and reworked the percussion and melody into a new ReStructure Mix. The melodic chorus and verses are intact with a few more drops to make this new version last longer.
