What would disco
music do without Claudja Barry? Her career has delivered the biggest dance
floor movers and innovators in disco history. Along with producer Jurgen
Korduletsh and Munich musicians of the disco era they created disco hits “Boogie
Woogie Dancin’ Shoes”, “Sweet Dynamite”, “Work Me Over” (with Bobby Orlando), “Feel
and Fire” and many more. “Down and Counting” is her 1986 release from her album
“I, Claudja” and is one of the sample delicacies of the time period. Along with
Claudja’s presence this one was always dangerous.
I have taken the
12” vocal and dub to recreate a new ReStructure Mix for this classic. It
maintains the feel of the original with a few new twists and turns – and a
surprise visit from one of Claudja’s big disco hits.
