C + C Music Factory is David Cole, Robert Clivillés, Freedom Williams, and Martha Wash in their initial prime with their big dance hit, “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” from 1990. A transition from the deep house movement of the late 80’s to the hardcore street beats in celebration of dance floors and their purpose. A new era of dance music was beginning from where the disco groove of the early 70’s began. Innovative beats by Cole and Clivillés made the 90’s dance scene a new experience and continued the evolution of disco music once again. Featured vocals by Martha Wash (Two Tons ‘O Fun, Sylvester) make this one more than iconic.
I have taken the 12” extended and instrumental versions of “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix with a pattern that utilizes the riffs to a tea. It flows with some classic riffs from Chic – from one innovative disco sound to the new one of the 90’s.
