Anti Rock is a
European Disco project from producer Jacques Fred Petrus (Peter Jacques Band,
Revanche, Caprice, Change, B.B. & Q. Band, Macho). This cover of the 1979
anthem by Ottawan track “D.I.S.C.O.” brings the song into a full and rich
percussion driven production with more of the Calypso flavor per beat. It is
more like a Carnival celebration with the floats full of mirror balls and confetti.
A nice cover with Jacques bringing his production genius again to the
forefront.
I have taken the
12” vocal, dub and radio versions of Anti Rock’s “D.I.S.C.O.” into a new
sparkling ReStructure Mix with the pieces of the puzzle which make the song go
boom. It is a wonderful opportunity again to pay tribute to Mr. Jacques Fred
Petrus and the disco music he has left behind.
